사도행전 17:16~23 /
16~18. 바울이 아덴(아테네)에 우상이 가득한 것을 보고 격분해 회당과 장터에서 날마다 사람들과 변론하니 에피쿠로스와 스토아 철학자들은 예수와 부활을 전하는 바울이 이방신을 전하는 시람으로 생각한다.
19~23. 바울을 아레오바고로 데려가며, 바울의 말하는 의미를 알고자 하니 바울은 아덴 사람들이 알지도 못하고 섬기는 신에 대해 알려 주겠다 한다.

ㅇ아테네는 철학과 신화가 발달한 도시로 우상이 가득한 곳이다.
ㅇ이 사람들 또한 이런 것에 관심이 많았다.

ㅇ일부 사람들이 관심이 있으나 여전이 이방의 신들 이야기로만 안다.
ㅇ바울은 새로운 가르침에 관심을 갖는 사람들에게 예수를 전하고자 한다.
ㅇ모든 말과 행동에서 믿는 자의 본이 나타나는 한날이 되게 하소서
ㅇ연약한 지체들에게 회복의 은혜를 내려 주소서

Acts 17:16-23 /
16-18. When Paul saw that he was full of idols in Athens (Athens), he pleaded with the people daily in the synagogues and in the marketplace. Epicurus and Stoat philosophers regard Paul as the Messiah and the resurrection of Jesus as the Gentiles.
19-23. He will take Paul to Areopagus, to know the meaning of Paul, and Paul will tell the gods that the people of Athens do not know and serve.
