I suspect that average is not a good metric here. My guess would be that even at the 50th percentile, C-execs are close to outperforming doctors, and that by the 80th or 90th they're way ahead.
If you think about it, doctors will have a hard time topping $1M/year, while that's not terrible hard for executives to do.
