RE: Grief is an Empty Space

in #journallast month

Thank you for posting something so raw and emotional. I have no idea how you are feeling, but for many times, and for many days, I have tried to reconcile how it is I will feel that one day that my cat, Mia, passes into the great beyond.

We had a close call with that this year, and it was mostly an empty feeling. Its changed me as a person. When you have an indoor only cat, you tend to close the doors very quickly when you go in and out of spaces.

I always think there's a cat inside. My wife and I have both agreed that when Mia passes in the future, we will be pet free for a while to enable us to travel (finances permitting) - but there will be an enormous period of grief, and wailing and mourning between now and the great whenever.

Sorry for your loss. Hive (or at least) I will wait for you to return with your new writing, because it is always a pleasure to read it.

Oh goodness, I wish Mia many years filled with love and cuddles. I’m so glad she’s doing well.

I’m trying to write a little more, though it may not be my best work- I expect some emotional rambling. 😆

Thank you dearly.

I think I might end up writing a post "preparing for death" - it is something that constantly inhabits my thoughts.
