RE: A Short Guide for Being Kind

in #joy7 years ago

So many awesomely amazing suggestions! I completely agree with taking time to be kind - I remember one time in particular a few years ago, I offered to unload a woman's cart at the grocery store. She was in a riding cart, and was having trouble pulling everything out of the basket in front. It took me two seconds to finish up for her, and I was completely blown away by the fact that she almost started crying when she said, "thank you so much - no one's ever done anything like that for me before."

Thank you for posting such an inspiring reminder to be kind. Bright blessings to you!

Such an inspiring example of a simple but profound act of kindness, @traciyork. I think if we all share more of these stories - even here on Steemit, we can inspire others to be kind as well. Maybe some kind of community of our own, #DailyKindness ? We can share stories where individuals were kind to us or that we were kind to them. 😁

That's a wonderful idea, @ameliabartlett! I'll definitely try to hop on the hash tag at least a couple times a week (but for how crazy life is, I'm not sure I could do it daily). I'm in a FB group that does a weekly Gratitude Post that is somewhat similar - everyone shares what they're grateful for at any point in the week, and reading everyone's responses is inspiring. I can imagine how much inspiration for kindness the Steemit community would get from your inspired hash tag!
