RE: "IFC S1 R40 entry" @dustsweeper and @steemchiller

in #justbecause7 years ago

That's really interesting in regards to dustsweeper.. I never knew that. I had heard of it a couple times before, but now it makes more sense.. Yeah that rule sounds pretty lame and makes it even more difficult for new users! shrug...

Glad to hear dustsweeper is helping though! Sounds like a good project to support.

steemworld is also an awesome project! I use that one quite often, since I don't use ginabot, it's been essential for me to see mentions. Plus there's a ton of other useful information and tools. I appreciate you getting it out to more peoples!

Yes there are a few issue's with steemit, but as you can see from above, there are people working to make steemit a great place to relax, learn, and just have fun.

Well said! There's still nothing else out there quite like steemit, though I know a few are trying. If another one ever appeals to me as much as steemit I may try it and do both, though.. Right now.. I don't see any others that I quite want to invest the time in.. So busy with the IFC, it's hard to focus on too much else right now.
So far, I still have a lot of hope in steem longterm and I think it'll be around at least 10 years, hopefully a lot longer. Time will tell, things change quick, yet.. The IFC will definitely remain here until some other platform somehow presents a better option, and I'm not seeing it yet. Even Dan's proposed one he mentioned he wants to be able to control bad actors, so that implies censorship.. And.. I dunno.. I still prefer steem over one with censorship. Steem is still the best in my eyes, but I try to stay open to new information.
Anyways.. I think I'm starting to rant a bit.. Thanks for the useful info and the entry!

Time will tell, right now steemit, works pretty good, and censorship is left up to the individual user, if I don't want to see something, I just mute the person, problem solved. Things change rather quickly in the computer world. no one talks about DOS any more other than as a Denial Of Service, attack, no one talks about using Wordperfect anymore, even microsoft's browser iexplorer is being dusted out of existence after taking out so many others, so things change sometimes very fast, and not always for the betterment of the computer user.
