Ive recently traversed to the island of Hawaii and found myself immersed in an event horizon that is purely mystical. Ive come here with a pure intent to immerse myself in the arts, as well as the native wisdom of this island. I come seeking elder kahunas, and carriers of Hawaiians ancient native language.
Most wouldnt assume that the Hawaiian language in its essence has mystical counterparts, but it certainly does. Perhaps even more so than European languages. In fact, the sound t, k and m were largely absent in their language until European settlers colonized the island in the late 1800s. Until then the language involved largely 'flowing' syllables that did not have the staccato, abrupt sounds of T, K, or M.
Furthermore, an entire four hundred generations of Hawaiian culture is retained in an ancient chant recited by Kahunas, that takes three days and three nights to recite. Wow! Not only is their history completely aural, but it is actually spoken through a chant!
The Hawaiian Kahunas also have concepts similar to Chinese, Indian and Native American spirituality. For example, the premise of Chi or Qi in Chinese, is analogous to prana in India, is analogous to Mana in Hawaiian culture. So, Hawaiian culture is right on par with ancient traditions that have been revered as spiritual cultures.
