Help Test the Future of Hive and Earn a 20K HP Delegation

Keychain Multichain is now available in Open Beta, and we need your help to put it through real-world testing. Rather than asking users to follow a checklist, we want to see how you naturally use the Beta and what you discover along the way.

That's why we're launching the Keychain Multichain Explorer Challenge.

How to Participate

The very first thing to do would be to read our previous post, so you can know all the details about this new version of Keychain and how to install the extension. Then you can go ahead and:

  1. Install the Keychain Multichain Beta.
  2. Use it as part of your normal crypto activity.
  3. Create a Hive post documenting your experience with the tag #MULTICHAIN.

Your post can include:

  • First impressions
  • Tutorials
  • Testing different networks
  • Connecting to dApps
  • Using Ledger
  • Exploring NFTs
  • Testing account creation
  • Token transfers
  • Discovering bugs
  • Suggestions and feedback
  • Anything else related to your experience

The goal is simple: Use it. Explore it. Tell the community about it.

Rewards

We will be curating all publications with the tag and at the end of the challenge, we will select 5 outstanding posts.

Each selected author will receive:

20,000 Hive Power Delegation for 30 days

This delegation is intended to reward contributors while helping them increase their reach and influence within the Hive ecosystem.

The most IMPORTANT thing

If you discover bugs or issues, please report them in our Discord server so our team can investigate them quickly.

Your feedback during the Beta phase directly helps us improve the final release.

Timeline

📅 Challenge Start: Immediately

📅 Submission Deadline: July 1

📅 Winners Announcement: July 3

Remember to use the tag: #multichain

and leave your article link in the comments below so we don't miss it.

How to Install the Beta Version

Getting started with Keychain Multichain is easy. Since browser extensions don't currently support built-in beta channels, we had to publish a separate extension specifically for testing purposes.

Step 1: Install the Beta Extension

👉 Install the Beta here:

Keychain Multichain Beta Extension

The Beta extension can coexist alongside your regular Keychain installation, allowing you to safely test Multichain features without affecting your current setup, but for that you will need to disable the current version of Keychain so both extension dont opens at the same time when you are about to sign a transaction.

Step 2: Export Your Accounts

From your current Keychain extension:

  • Open the Main Menu
  • Navigate to Accounts
  • Click Export
  • Select Export as Encrypted File

Step 3: Import Into the Beta

Open the Beta extension and:

  • Select Import Accounts
  • Choose the encrypted file you exported previously

⚠️ Important: The Beta extension must use the same password as your current Keychain installation. The encrypted export can only be decrypted if both extensions share the same password. Once imported, you'll be ready to explore everything Multichain has to offer and participate in the challenge.

Happy Exploration!

Will be similar challenge available for mobile version?

Probably, but for now it is only for the Multichain Extension.

Ohh I see, thank you for clarification!

This challenges are really interesting, Splinterlands is currently doing a test of their game mode in a challenge style too.
