Declaration of Ecclesiastic Independence

If they could, shouldn't we?

The founding fathers of the United States of America declared their independence from the existing "Powers That Shouldn't Be."

Shouldn't we do the same?

In this article, I shall use an all-too-revered metaphor in an attempt to convey truth; I shall riff off of America's "Declaration of Independence."

Longing for that freedom,

I pray that I may one day be part of a Christian Assembly that will subscribe to something like the Declaration below this historic image:

~A Declaration of Ecclesiastic Independence~

In Cyberspace, July 4th, 2023:

The unanimous Declaration of this Assembly (ἐκκλησία) of Men in God's Image.

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political shackles which have connected them with another, and to Declare our Independence of the capricious and arbitrary territorial jurisdiction of presumptuous, self-appointed powers of the earth, effecting our Exodus from that jurisdiction to the Separate and Superior Station to which the Laws of Nature and the Inspired Word of Nature's God appoint us, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that we should declare the causes which impel us to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and therefore—both logically and biblicallyno man or group of men can be declared Shiloh, i.e. the One holding the scepter, or "Right to Rule."

There is One, and Only One with the unassailable right to rule. That One is Jesus our God, by virtue of his Absolute Right as our Creator. Jesus alone is King of kings and LORD of lords, he whom alone we recognize as our Blessed and Only Sovereign.

All men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; among these are Life, Liberty and Property.

—To secure these rights, our LORD Jesus has directed us to proclaim the Good News of his reign to all ethnic groups (i.e., nations-ἔθνη), teaching them by our word and example to obey his laws.

Jesus has instituted our Assemblies as his new Government, laying as our foundation the Apostles and Prophets, guided by principles set forth in the common (koineκοινὴ) language of the New Testament and organizing our powers in such form, as to advance his Kingdom throughout the world.

All experience has shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right ourselves by denying the legitimacy of the governments to which we are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce us under absolute Despotism, it is our right, it is our duty, to deny the ungodly demands of satanic Governments, establishing Godly Assemblies modeled after biblical principles in their stead.

—Such has been the patient sufferance of our Assemblies; and such is now the necessity which constrains us to assert our rights as foreign ambassadors.

The history of the state (AKA the fiefdoms of satan), is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over mankind. No proof of this is necessary beyond the visible evidence surrounding our lives.

The state has refused its Assent to God's Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

The state has called together legislative bodies and promulgated egregious "laws," for the sole purpose of dishonoring God and fatiguing us into compliance with its measures.

The state has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out our substance.

The state has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies of Bureaucrats without our Consent.

The state has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to our Assembly power.

The state has combined with others to subject us to territorial jurisdiction foreign to, and unacknowledged by scripture:

The state protects its agents, by mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit:

The state cuts off our Trade with all parts of the world:

The state imposes Taxes on us without the Consent of each individual, using the proceeds to murder babies in the womb and prosecute foreign atrocities of war:

The state deprives us in most cases, of the benefits of biblical due process in our own courts:

The state suspends our own governing bodies, declaring itself invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

The state has plundered our wealth, ravaged our savings, consumed our time, and destroyed the lives of our people.

The state has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless FBI, whose known rule of warfare is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A state whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by state legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us.

We, therefore, the Ecclesia of God, pillar and support of the truth, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of Jesus the Christ, solemnly publish and declare, That these Assemblies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent Assemblies; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to any Governance but that of Christ the King, and that all political connection between them and the fiefdoms of satan, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent Assemblies, we have full Power to Defend ourselves, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Assemblies may of right do.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

I'm more spiritual then religious but agree with all the grievances mentioned. I do believe it is (way past) time to disassemble such a horrible political system.

Thanks for stopping in and commenting!

I do believe that the way forward is even simpler than that; just step outside of the existing system, ignore it to the extent possible, and build working voluntary communities. The horrible political system should then simply collapse of its own weight.

The ecclesia (church) is a premier example of how that could/should be done, but I would not object to communities based on other worldviews, as long as they don't interfere.

Having said that, I do believe that ultimately everyone will need to recognize who the Creator is (Jesus), who—by virtue of having created us—is the only one with a right to rule us. The good news is that he is truly a benevolent ruler who sincerely has our best interests at heart.
