Hi there!
I'm Karin Karina Go and I'm super excited cause I just got accepted to Steemit (YES! EARN MONEY!!!!).
I was almost started writing a chronicle, but I stopped myself and changed my mind. To start from a light topic.
If you are interested in traveling, specially visiting exotic asian country, Korea is a good choice.
It is a country of traditions and modern life.

Last year, a political circumstance of South Korea was not that good, but it seems quite peaceful now (believe it or not :P).
So I'm gonna introduce you some nice places to visit if you come to Korea.

In this article, I will show you a 'traditional part' of touristic attractions.

Korea, it has palaces, most of them are made of woods, not like European castles, although outer walls are made of stones.

경복궁 Gyeongbokgung is one of the palace which is located at the center of Seoul. Near from서울역 Seoul station, near from 광화문 Gwang-hwa-moon road.

So traditional!

In the front gate, you can see a stupidly smiling monster, whose name is Haetae.

Haetae looks like a lion but it has two horns. It is a imaginary creature.

Haetae is a protector of water, so it prevents fire disasters. In fact, when they were building this place, fire broke a lot so people made the statue of Haetae, and thanks to that, the building was successfully build. Believe it or not!

From this photo, you can see it WAS there from long long time ago. It is a photo from 1930 :0 cooool...

Now no one lives in the palace but there are performing a 'changing of guards' with traditional clothes.

If you are interested in, and if you are visiting Seoul soon, the leave a comment, then I'll check the performance time.

I'll not mention that much about the beauty of palace itself. You can take a look, smell it, and touch it.

There is a museum inside of the palace. National Palace museum of Korea. It is FREE, so stop by when you visit.

Nice thing is that, you can enjoy a tea near the palace. Which looks like a korean traditional house.

and Best Thing is that, you can wear a traditional cloth by yourself!

There are a lot of rental shops, there are more than 100 Korean traditional cloths , Hanbok 한복, and you can rent it by hour. It is so popular so half of the pedestrians are wearing Hanbok.
