한 석 달 만에 경로당에 방문했다. 일의 추진력을 얻기 위해 지원사업을 했던 것인데, 오히려 지원금을 집행하는 부담이 내 발목을 잡았다. 무척 더운 날이었다.
오늘은 마장동에서 사온 돼지꼬리도 있는 족발이 술안주였다. 이런 저런 이야기를 하다가 한 어르신에게 전화번호도 드리게 됐다. 어르신들은 너나 할 것 없이 중신을 서려고 난리시다. 친척들 사이에서는 부담이 되지만, 어르신들 사이에서는 이런 인기가 기분 좋은 일이다.
빠른 세상 변화 속, 어르신들의 모습이 오랜 서울살이에 개인화된 나와 맞지 않을 때도 있지만, 이런 정취는 아직 따스하다
