How to cook black rice
- black rice take longer to cook, first step you will do soak the black rice for atleast 1 hour, but preferably for several hours.
- after soaking the black rice rinse the rice
- place on the rice cooker with two cups of water for every one cup of rice
- Boil the rice for at least one half hour if you did soak the rice
- Check the the rice to see if it is cooked
- if not cook keep boiling until it reaches the texture you’re looking for.

This is so interesting @duquejunalyn last week I bought rice I had never seen, they referred to it as black and white rice. Normally I purchase brown rice, this looked interesting.
When I cooked it a couple of days ago the 'white' was more brown, but the black rice is totally foreign to me.
I noticed it took longer to cook and enjoyed the flavour, now you have explained more about something I knew absolutely nothing about.
Never try this one. But already try the red rice, are they just the same?
