Well hi its been a while and look at that coming up to St. Patrick's day again may the end of winter celebrations begin or just get it over with. I know last year there was the first artistic ice sculptures first appeared on the plaza but this year pt was up scales too bad were outta snow but its still cold were not there "summer" yet but it is pleasant or better said tolerable eh:)))
i have to admit i was surprised by the level of expertise im guessing the city had something to do with all artists maybe having a competition of sorts. Also just wandering around i actually surprised when i bumped into the our mayor madame Vallerie well keeping it informal i think she might have been doing a personal check on the Plaza. Montreal's a great city but the influx of foreigners has changed the vibes a lot not sure if it's for the best what i do know is all of a sudden there's a lot of gun stuff and police presence lately.
After a quick observation i noticed most of the sculptures have been created with a theme going along with the boutique sentiment boats pirates and some notable characters too.
Eh bien, salut, cela fait un moment et regardez, le jour de la Saint-Patrick approche à nouveau, peut-être que les célébrations de la fin de l'hiver commencent ou tout simplement en finissent. Je sais que l'année dernière, les premières sculptures artistiques sur glace sont apparues pour la première fois sur la place, mais cette année, c'était trop haut, dommage qu'il n'y ait plus de neige, mais il fait encore froid, il n'y avait pas encore "l'été", mais c'est agréable ou mieux dit tolérable hein :) ))
Je dois admettre que j'ai été surpris par le niveau d'expertise, je suppose que la ville avait quelque chose à voir avec le fait que tous les artistes organisaient peut-être une sorte de concours. Aussi, juste en me promenant, j'ai été surpris quand je suis tombé sur notre maire, Madame Vallerie, en gardant cela informel, je pense qu'elle aurait pu faire une vérification personnelle sur la Plaza. Montréal est une grande ville mais l'afflux d'étrangers a beaucoup changé l'ambiance, je ne suis pas sûr si c'est pour le mieux, ce que je sais, c'est que tout d'un coup, il y a beaucoup d'armes à feu et de présence policière ces derniers temps.
Après une observation rapide, j'ai remarqué que la plupart des sculptures avaient été créées sur un thème allant de pair avec les bateaux-pirates de la boutique et certains personnages notables.
These photos were taken early Sunday morning so there weren't many shoppers out but its a quick look at he plaza as you can see no snow eh.. the warm weather and rain washed it all away. It looks like spring but the air is cold and the little wind goes right through you if your not dressed properly. But still pleasant going to be nice this afternoon the temperature is a little extreme from -21 c to 15 c the next day not sure what to wear when you leave the house not important . When you see people wearing shorts and a winter jacket you have to wonder like when you see beach sandals you know they lost there luggage if they had any to start :)))
Ces photos ont été prises tôt dimanche matin, donc il n'y avait pas beaucoup de clients, mais c'est un rapide coup d'œil sur la place car vous pouvez voir pas de neige, hein... le temps chaud et la pluie ont tout emporté. On dirait le printemps mais l'air est froid et le petit vent vous traverse si vous n'êtes pas habillé correctement. Mais quand même agréable ça va être sympa cet après midi la température est un peu extrême de -21c à 15c le lendemain je ne sais pas trop quoi porter quand tu sors de la maison pas important. Quand vous voyez des gens porter des shorts et une veste d'hiver, vous devez vous promener. Quand vous voyez des sandales de plage, vous savez qu'ils ont perdu leurs bagages s'ils en avaient pour commencer :)))
Judging by the mild weather They're not going to be around very long this one the last one on the plaza might have been broken on purpose but it also could have been just a melt down too bad it didn't last very long was hard trying to make out what it was
À en juger par le temps doux, ils ne resteront pas là très longtemps, celui-ci, le dernier sur la place a peut-être été cassé exprès, mais il aurait aussi pu s'agir simplement d'une fonte, dommage que cela n'ait pas duré très longtemps, c'était difficile d'essayer découvrir ce que c'était

Nice ice sculptures on the city! They would all melt and disappear later on. Nothing lasts forever!

Yeah there were some nice one's like the guitar , skull cook and the cowboy boot not exactly a dragon but maybe next year :)))
