Parasyte is a Japanese manga illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki. It was published back then from 1989 to 1994.

I knew this series back in 2014 when Parasyte: The Maxim was released as an anime series. Story of parasites from the sky going down to the earth and inhabitants of human bodies driven by instinct. One of them is a failure to take over the brain of its human target and become one with the human who will become the main character of this story, the mutant.

Not just as an anime, there's also a live-action for this series in a movie named Parasyte: Part 1 in 2014 and Parasyte: Part 2 in 2015.

As I thought it was already finished, Netflix released a new Netflix series yesterday called, Parasyte: The Grey. It's also based on Hitoshi Iwaaki Parasyte. Parasyte: The Grey produced by the producer of 'Train to Busan' makes a new Parasyte live-action movie with a new story and now it's in the Korean version.

I watched some episodes and it really delivers a new good story. Sadly, there's no 'Migi' (The name of the parasite lives in MC's body in Parasyte) in this new story. The name of the parasite in Su-in's body is Heidi and it's not as funny as Migi. It's still the same plot with the mutant (MC) becoming an enemy of humans and an enemy of parasites. What will it be? There are still more episodes upcoming and I'm excited to see it. I hope it'll be a good one. It's a good series to watch on this long holiday. It's because Izumi Shinichi (MC from the first parasyte) is in the ending scene.
