Wow, Five Years in the Making
I've been posting consistantly since May of 2017. There may have been a few times where I took a break, but after 1832 posts, I have finally become a dolphin!
What does it mean to be a dolphin?
Dophin status means the user has 10,000,000 VESTS which used to equate to 5000 HP, but today is more like 5500 HP.
Dolphin?
The ocean terminology began back in the steem days, when there were certain bloggers who aquired very high stake. When steem became a few dollars, these "whales" would go around granting $50 - $100 upvotes making them mega-celebreties. So the term "whale" stuck.
After that steemitboard (which has now become hivebuzz.me) came up with ocean creatures to denote the number of "VESTS" a person has achieved. They based their creatures on growing up to become a "whale".
LESS THAN 1 MILLION VESTS = Red Fish
OVER 1 MILLION VESTS (550 HP) = Minnow
OVER 10 MILLION VESTS (5500 HP) = Dolphin
OVER 100 MILLION VESTS (55,000 HP) = Orca
OVER 1 TRILLION VESTS (550,000 HP) = Whale
10 Million VESTS at last! It's about to go up further in a few days after HPUD tomorrow.

I wish that I would not have sold around 10 000 Dogecoin for a few dollars a few years ago, when the value of the Dogecoin was around $0.003 USD. I could have sold it for around $3000 USD, or even around $4000 USD. But I thought in that time that Dogecoin will not go up. This is why I sold it at such a low price.
$0.003 would have been a 'High' based on it's history up to that point.
At the beginning of 2021 I owned 85,000 Dogecoin, and sold off 70,000 in tranches on the way up and down. Asides of a Hive power boost, boosted my HE Account, bought a gold Coin with some rare silver coins, a marvelous portfolio of BTC, ETH, LTC etc and now I am diversified.

HIVE needs more dolphins. The @arcange daily stats show 1,628 dolphins. Dolphins control 13% of the pool. Unfortunately, the 37 whales control over 50% of the pool.

Congratulations. It's a good feeling. I cheated on an alt account by buying HIVE. I just didn't have the patience to do it from my activity. The good thing is that you have the discipline and the community. It gets easier and easier to earn as your account grows. You're on a good trajectory.

Thank you for the congrats! Alt accounts are not cheating, in my opinion. I have multiple accounts, but it became cumbersome to maintain them.
It does become a little easier once the account gets bigger. And daily posting and curating takes some discipline.
