Gifting and Such on a Lazy Tuesday

in #lazyday20 hours ago

Magandang buhay❤️

There was a power outage the whole day, so what to do without electricity?

Nada.

I kid not!

The hubby's plan to clear the laundry basket didn't push through. And since we were still feeling the hangover from the weekend escapade, we did absolutely nothing today, except eat and sleep, a lil bit of playing, hair trimming, and some bellyrubs. Truly a lazy Tuesday for Yongi and me, that is, because the farmboy got his groove back and spent it productively at the bell pepper farm, pruning stems and such.

Well, it felt like the day went by so fast that I just took a bath and it was evening already, lol! And yep, power is yet to be restored. Darn, they better fix it or we would be spending Christmas in the dark. We don't wish to use the buzzy generator this season🥴

Joking aside, we will have the family celebration at my elder sister's house (no blackout in their place). But we do hope the power company will restore services here in DD very soon.

Anyway, an early present from the hardware store yesterday prompted me to send my e-gifts (digital cash) to my godchildren and some favorite aunts.

The process was swift and easy compared to picking presents (it's a struggle to choose gifts, not knowing if they would be useful to the receivers). So thanks to GCash (the so-called super-app and mobile wallet in the country) for facilitating the quick and hassle-free transactions. It wouldn't be troublesome to the recipients too, since there are plenty of cashout centers basically everywhere, and the service fees are minimal.

So yeah, no more worries for me in that regard. We do need to do some last-minute shopping tomorrow. It's a first time since we used to do the shopping a few days before Christmas eve, but it will be an interesting experience. Who knows, we might even bump into some old friends while picking up goodies!😁

If the event comes after a long time, then you should definitely enjoy it together with your family.

I would also prefer cash sis. Like when my boss asks what gift we would appreciate. I told her I prefer cash 😁.

Thanks for highlighting these trade-offs in this topic are critical
