In helium mining you really only supposed to have one hotspot as a former asic miner, i've seen a lot of the asic hardware go from lucrative to slightly profitable and sometimes asic mining profits go down so much- it will cost money to run.
gpu's are more versatile, and have better resale value, and seconadry purpose.They can mine dozens of coins not just eth. So it's better to buy gpu at better price than buying asic where you're limited to single algorithm.
