RE: A lot of people are going to get wrecked on CUB if they sell now at a loss, my opinion.

Valid concerns, but if you are bullish in the long term, you would want to accumulate as much CUB as you can. Is it best to wait for the low, which can be anything and take any amount of time, or how long does it take to get to that actual lowest low? 1 year or 2 like Steem? Or by next week after the APR slash is done that will be the lowest low?

In the meantime, you can of course keep those tokens in a farm or den and get some CUB from the APR. And just wait to see if and when you want to pivot to trading that for more CUB directly.

That's why the CUB-BUSD farm is advantageous while the higher APR is still there. I haven't done the math, but if you're getting 2-3x more CUB in one farm vs. another, plus as the value of CUB falls the farm auto-trades the other pair like BUSD to buy up more CUB to match the USD value in BUSD, then you end up with even more when you exit the farm.

The key there would be to exit the farm when the price bottoms and starts going up as the reverse happens from before, and at that point your CUB is being sold to buy more BUSD to have equal USD value in your farm for your pair. In the end, as the value falls, you get the 2-3x more CUB from APR at the moment, and you get the additional CUB from the auto-balancing in the farm. The non CUB farms and dens are safer indeed, as you didn't exchange the tokens for CUB which is going down in value. But the APR will be lower.

Maybe you end up with more CUB when you decide to trade your other tokens for CUB, depending on what the low will be. So many unknowns about the future and what the state will be at a particular time. If it goes to $1, and you wait for that to happen in who knows how long... weeks, months... years... well at least you are still gaining some APR from the non-CUB farms or dens and it's still a win, a safer win ;) I think until the inflation goes to 1/block next week, the CUB farms are still lucrative :D

I think it should be expected that most people investing into CUB currently(or any other forks of PancakeSwap) are going to get wrecked early on(if they sell now they take the losses now vs hodling for a few years). Let's remember here that we are "investing" into something that was forked from PancakeSwap that is operating on the Binance Smart Chain which was forked from Ethereum. The Total Locked in value for things like UNISWAP and other large projects is in the billions, there are MANY offshoots of the original swaps as you can see here, here are most of them that are on Binance Smart Chain, and they pretty much all are copied from something else. https://app.beefy.finance/

The thing that is going to set CUB apart from other projects is the new features they are adding in.

Right now CUB isn't really advanced compared to what is out there currently for swap/dex/farming stuff. The hype/FOMO train is real for CUBBIES since none of us here have gotten into DEFI before. I jumped into it here because it was too expensive on Ethereum for me to do anything there. I think it will do good long term.
