Business owners seem to have been facing a growing number of attacks in recent years, thefts have allegedly been on the rise for example in certain areas and it is prompting some of those businesses now to reconsider their safety and security. It makes it unsafe for them to operate if this is going to be the norm for them and it isn't safe if they aren't going to see justice sought either when they are victimized.
Community members have been organizing and they have been protesting, calling on the authorities to do something about it. They say that this sort of crime has no place in their community and they want to see what is going to be done to fix it if there is a problem.

If left unaddressed it could easily prompt many individuals and businesses to flee looking for safe communities elsewhere and already we see this happening in certain areas that have seen that loss in migration.
Critics are hoping that they see more resources come about to address this issue and some stores are no doubt already rethinking their security and what might be able to be done to improve things. Some are hiring private armed guards to protect their business already.
From big companies like Starbucks to smaller individual owned businesses there are many who have been impacted by the crime in places like Portland and elsewhere, enduring thefts, vandalism, and more. When those businesses flee because of the cesspool they think the area has become then that is going to take jobs out of the region and decrease the standard of living there by providing fewer goods and services for options as well.

I am seeing more and more opening for security guards in my local area for sure. The cops are basically useless for private citizens and businesses, they only guard state property and make sure you fall in line with their wills. Well I say fuck that. It's time for citizens to band together and stand up to the bull shit. People need to learn to arm themselves not just with weapons, but the skills to use them, and share that with your neighbors and community.
Not only that, but arm your self with the skills to be self sufficient. I can't wait to get back to my family farm and turn it into a self sustaining, cash flowing business and strong hold. My family is a bunch of freedom loving rednecks with allot of guns, I dare them to try and come get some, lol.
It is instructive to consider what government is instituted to do, which is primarily to provide a common defense. At it's most base function, government is essentially a gang. It is intended to be the biggest, strongest gang, and by being a gang of the properly socialized members of society, to inure to their benefit. However, as is obvious from history and extant circumstances, institutions are corrupted by financialization. We find having created a golem that it has been hacked and turned against us, and the more powerful the golem is, the worse it becomes as our enemy.
Nero exemplifies corruption of government enabling it's worst elements to rule, perhaps best revealed by the mechanism through which he attained the requisite power to become emperor of Rome. He owned a private fire protection business, and covertly set fires which he used to extort select individuals and organizations, thereby seizing vast estates and wealth while destroying his political enemies.
Businesses and households creating mutual defense organizations need to be extremely careful to ensure they themselves are not able to be targeted by that organization, as has happened with government IN EVERY CASE. Particularly entering into mutual self help institutions with more powerful or corrupt entities appears to guarantee turning that organization against oneself, and because corruption is covert and ambition is never satisfied any member of such an organization can be assured that if they're not the covert corrupter they are going to be the victim of the covert corrupter.
This is the essential fact of centralization: overlords.
Decentralization is the cutting edge of technological advance across every field of industry today, and in no field is centralization more obsolete than security.
Particularly regarding security, decentralization is the key to sovereignty. The essential fact of decentralization is soveriegnty.
