The recent decision of Hertz to buy 100k Teslas was a huge move and this will drastically set them apart from their competitors in the market now. Why did they want to buy that many Teslas? The company said it was inspired by electric vehicles going mainstream and they suggest we have only started to see the rise in demand for this market.
The same could be said about cryptocurrency, that it too has gone mainstream. In the years since it first came to the market it has seen tremendous growth, we are now starting to see more businesses accept it as a form of payment. This includes movie chains, airlines, restuarants, and how long for car rental companies?
If Hertz were to accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as a form of payment then this too would drastically set them apart from others in the market.
Is it just a matter of time? There are already companies in the U.S. looking to accept crypto as a form of payment and we can expect more in the future to do the same as the market grows and more become interest in and aware of how to use cryptocurrency.

They might never take bitcoin or any cryptocurrency for payment at their company in the U.S. or elsewhere around the world, but if it continues to go mainstream and attracts demand, the same way EVs have, then why not? As the real estate market in the U.S. has started to do this in the last several years, the rental car market could do the same and this would be just one more way for them to set themselves apart from others in the market.
They wouldn't be the first company in the world to take crypto for payment but it would be a significant move for a well known brand around the world to embrace crypto in that way, as they did with Tesla.
It will be good for more take up of crypto
