NFT Hate or NFT Confusion?

For many gamers who appear to be against NFTs right now is it just a matter of not grasping the value of a secondary market yet?

Sales of NFTs are expected to pass $25 billion this year and the market is growing rapidly. Last year this market grew by about 299% and still there are many who aren't yet interested, who aren't aware of what it is or how to get involved, as well as others who are against it who might never take a second look etc.

Do most game developers and gamers hate NFTs? Or do they just not see the value yet? Or both?

There are many gamers out there who do like NFTs and who own NFTs, so it isn't fair to see they've all rejected them entirely. The same for developers as well, though a lot of developers might not see any interest right now in anything crypto-related. That hasn't stopped the market from growing to a $1 trillion+ space.

Hating the market and calling NFTs and bitcoin a scam which has been done countless times isn't going to stop it or slow it down, it might even help to spread the word about it and fuel its growth quicker.

For some in the gaming space that have introduced NFT projects they've been heavily ridiculed by suggestions that they are milking customers without providing a lot of value. And if that simple money making criticism gains traction then others might also look to stay away.

One study found that about 98% of people still might not fully grasp NFTs or things like bitcoin and until it is made a lot easier for them there might not be enough appeal for many to change their mind and reconsider the product.

Still, now it looks like sites such as Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, might be looking to embrace the NFT space at some point, according to various recent news reports. Some brands are already spending millions on getting into NFTs and surveys show that millions of people have already used them and are aware of what they are.
