Nigeria is a good place to be if you have money but the money part is the most difficult part and is not that there is no job at all in my country but most of the job that pays well is shared among the rich and the less paying job are the ones available. The problem with paying job is that nobody wants to do it because after spending 4years in University settling for crap is what most people avoid.

This is the main reason why people are unemployed and of one the things that contributed to this problem is the naira and how it has been going down against the dollar over the years and this has affected the buying power of the naira. Things are getting expensive every day and most people are leaving the paying job because it takes their time and they can't afford anything with the paycheck.

Nigeria's problems have many roots but I think the one that has made it worst is the fall of the naira because 100 thousand naira upward job was a dream job before and family men still apply for 30k jobs before but those days are gone. The government is even making this worst by creating policies that affect the naira more and cause it to drop harder.

The change

If we truly want change in Nigeria's economy we must focus on building back naira by building our foreign businesses and making currency better in the foreign market. Building the naira will not on have an impact on buying power but also on people's lives and most paying job will be applied for once again. The funniest part now is most people that acquire higher jobs are leaving the country because they don't believe in the country.

Sort:

I don't think foreign businesses are the solution to everything and they need to make the Naira more useful. From what I see, fiats are losing value to the government policies and I think the people at the top aren't really doing anything to make sure that value goes up. They tend to fatten their own pockets with the policies. In a way, even the dollar isn't worth as much as it was in the past.

Dollar is not worth as much but doing very well against naira and close one thousand naira now. Naira need to improve

The thing is, the government can't even generate much revenue that will cover their expenses talk more investments. They end up borrowing more money to service their debts hence devaluing the value of naira in the foreign exchange market.

Really sad for those graduates who ended up settling for paid jobs that are not even up to minimum wage.

I don't blame the graduate they all want to survive. We need more revenue and we can not depend on petroleum alone

Thanks to the governmental policies that only favour government officials, more people are losing hope on the economy and the naira. Many people are looking for ways to relocate and live elsewhere.

If you think about the naira you be left with no choice but to carry your bag and japa

In a truer sense, we should embrace cryptocurrency, it will help with our economy. And finding good paying jobs won't be a problem because Web 3 embraces everyone and every skill.

Crypto is one of those things that is breathing life into people's hope in africa

I love how you put this 😍

This country is getting from bad to worse and this is because we are reschuffling bad leadership and not trying to do better in that aspect. Nigeria is blessed, but bad management and leadership is why we're always suffering. The rich are keeping all the resources for themselves because that's the Solid principle of this country.

They don pack our money go open private refinery, our mumu never do

Things aren't looking encouraging in Nigeria, I only see more youths leaving the country.

I believe it will get better over time, the change will come
