Welcome all to this week's EDSvote update where we look at a range of different things. Please follow the @eddie-earner account to make sure all our reports are going into your feed and you can easily stay updated on your investment.
What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.
The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.
Little bit of growth this week as more people are up their delegations to @eds-vote. I have noticed that most of the growth in delegated HP to EDS-vote is mostly existing delegators upping their delegation compared with new people. This is best type of growth for me as the operator because a small and loyal group that are upping delegations to get more EDS confirms to me, people are happy to stack more, more EDS.
Back to normal this week at around 8%, a little bit under but all good. Next week, I expect to be better because im draining the voting power a bit to take advantage of the 30k HP we have for the next few weeks. Make hay when the sun is shining they say, plus draining the voting power will mint for EDS cause half oc curation rewards are used to mint EDS.
Yeee-ha!! New time high and over 200 HP for the first time. Just over 200 with 201 but we take the win. As said above, next week should be better and we'll beable to start a new powerdown for 150 HIVE per week to transfer to @eddie-earner, up from currently 100 per week. Thats a massive jump from last week, near 50 HP.
Because EDS mintage from EDS-vote is 50% of curation rewards, this week we minted just over 100 EDS which is also a new time high. If you compare the 2 charts above, you notice they are exactly the same but EDS MINTED is half the value of CURATION REWARDS.
If we can keep this up for a while, we'll be minting decent numbers of EDS. Here's a fun fact, EDS-vote has minted 1700.74 EDS to date over 29 weeks. Thats an average of 58.64 a week and we did over 100 this week 😉
Round-Up
It's been our best week yet on paper and next week will be better again. This is turning out to be much better than I had thought and it is helping out EDS massively. Next week, i'll beable to start a 150 HIVE per week powerdown. If we can sustain this amount, thats 7,800 HIVE per year and thats a big deal. EDS has around 107,000 HP so 7,800 is equal to over 7% growth. This is on top of the HIVE EDS gets from delegating/leasing its HP and HP inflation.
EDS-vote has basically doubled EDS's growth and is providing an excellent way to distribute EDS tokens through HP delegation to @eds-vote. Remember the EDS minted are minted at a value of 1 HIVE each, not the current HE price. EDS-vote will be around for a long time and the sooner you start, the more EDS you'll mint and the higher your HIVE income payments will be. There's layers to this 😁 and each layer gets better for the investor.

Just curious, do you know right now how much is paid weekly for let's say 100 EDS? Maybe it will help people to see it as a number.
I have written posts about this before and also posts about what your APY would be depending on how much you paid for EDS (if you buy from hive-engine) but these were a while ago and long lost on HIVE by now.
If you have 100 EDS and the APY is currently 28%, you would receive 28 HIVE per year. Divide 28 by 52.18 (weeks) and you get 0.53 HIVE per week.
The EDS APY is reported weekly each Monday from this account. Its pretty easy to work out the weekly payment amount as shown above 😉 Hope this helps
