EXODE already has a lot of unique cards!
Today the topic is mostly about cards!
We currently have 466 unique cards, according to our Deck Expert tool.

And there is more:
Our cards are actually just "templates" for a procedural generation.
That's right, you take a card, you place it on a ship, and shazam!
This will generate a character.
This means we have 466 unique ways, or let's say 400+ ways to tell our generator a new special set of instructions.
This also means that from any single card, you can generate thousands of thousands of possible combinations respecting that template. Of course there are better combinations than others.
That's ... a lot, haha :D
But we are not number fanatics.
Well, not that much!
However, we are theme and art fans.
We love our 2325 universe.
And we love to give detail and uniqueness to every content.
This is what works in a game.
This is also what works in blockchain.
Blockchain absolutely loves uniqueness.
Anything that says "there is only one of these in existence in the world" also means:
that you have a lot of value into your hands!
We still remember our promo cards, given for free, but thanks to their utility and with only a few in existence they have a LOT of value! they have been traded for more than a hundred dollars!
And we are going to push that forward.
To push it a lot.
The new TALENT system
We are deploying right now a new layer to EXODE mechanics called the TALENT system.
Thanks to it, you can now make a card even more unique.
You can now acquire a Talent+ pack from our shop (and it has a 30% discount at the moment!)
So right now it costs about a couple dollars!
Using a Talent+ pack will transform your card into one of its seven unique variations.
This is by clicking on the new REFIT button available on any character card.
The card will then be permanently transformed and all characters generated with it (or already generated from it) will be affected by its newfound talent.
Talent+ can be used on any character, alpha or beta, Elite or non-Elite, common, rare, epic or legendary. It can even be used several times if you are unhappy with the result. It cannot be used on bound cards at the moment.
- Talents follow a discovery system:
If you are the first to reveal a card variant, you will be permanently saved as the discoverer of this Talent. And displayed as such on the card for all players finding the same talent after you!
- Talents discovery will be fun!
Some cards received their talents details!
We have added them to one legendary card already - The Kumicho - and will be adding it to one card every day, until we have added details to all legendary cards. And then we will continue with all Epic Cards.
During December, we will be done with all Epic cards.
Then we will complete all Rare and Common card details in January, if we manage to accelerate our speed on adding all power details! There are hundreds of them!
This means you can use Talent+ on all character cards right now!
But power details are added progressively:
This evening, you can already discover the details of seven Kumicho variants.
Who will be the first to upgrade their cards into new unique variations?Tomorrow, you will be able to read the details of the Rebel General.
And so on!
- Talents are permanent:
Talents are added permanently to the card. If someone purchases the card, they take it with the talent equipped on it. You can still change a talent by reusing a Talent+ pack.
- Talents are picked randomly:
To guarantee uniqueness and the discovery system, when you use a Talent+ pack a roll will be made.
There are seven possible variations:
the first three ones share a 60% chance (20% each),
the two next ones share a 28% chance (14% each),
and the last two are super rare and can be unlocked with 8% and 4%, respectively.
Even if rare talents are even more unique, sometimes a less rare talent can be what you would find the most useful. Once you have a Talent, you should wait for its details to be revealed to make sure of your options. Sometimes a super common talent is exactly what you would like!
Use other players to explore talents, and wait for the details to be shared, or make sure you are the first to discover every talent; you can decide!
- Talents are not mandatory!
Talents are an additional power and thematic variation but nothing in EXODE requires to have a talent on your cards. Just like everything in the game can be played with a starter, the game is rich in situations and mostly depends on your own way to navigate through events and dangers.
Your decisions are what will be important.
- Talents will be displayed better!
We deployed a few information about Talents, adding the REFIT feature, the Discovery feature, and the Talent Details feature.
We worked on many scripts and contents to make everything happen.
But we will upgrade how talents are displayed, introduced and discovered, and in two or three weeks we think it will reach its perfect presentation.
So it's up to you now...
The Talent+ packs await you!
Some details:
Talent+ can be used on any character card.
Using REFIT on a character will automatically look for an unlisted Talent+ pack in your collection and use this pack (it will be consumed).
As a result, your card will be permanently upgraded with a new power!
You can then refresh your collection, find the card again and click on it.If the power details are not revealed yet, you will then see the rarity of the Grade you have, and who discovered it. Maybe you are the first to discover it!
If the power details are already revealed - which is the case for all 7 Kumicho variants today, and tomorrow evening for the Rebel General - you will also have a VIEW DETAILS button allowing you to check more information on this Talent powers. And we invite you then to share this information on our discord!
We know it's of course fun if the power details are known:
But we have so many cards! We are writing the details of 600+ more variants. We like that! We are on it! :)
What about non-character cards?
And what about starship, armor suits and other cards?
The Beta Starship contract (Vogan Shipyards) will receive a special drop - of extreme rarity - which allows its user to REFIT a starship and transform it into one of its unique variations.
If you are lucky enough to have one such contract, you will get to see if you get this drop. It will have a legendary rarity and it will have some sure value!
If you don't have a Beta Starship contract, then fortunately for you: it's on discount during the Black Friday weekend! It is at more than 20% discount (-30 dollars on its original price).
After the Black Friday, a price increase will occur, as these packs follow an increase once a certain amount has been sold. They increase by 30 dollars every 50 units sold. So after this weekend, the price will jump. You have been warned!
The Beta Armor contract (Esdrovian Armor Docks) will also receive a special drop - of extreme rarity - which allows its user to REFIT an armor and transform it into one of its unique variations.
It works the same way, will have the same rarity.
Armor suit modifications are going to be extremely useful in EXODE as having a rebreather can protect you from most gas, and protection against radiation can be useful in some areas too!
Achean gangs is also having a discount - but that is because during the EXODE Factions gameplay which we will deploy next month, owners of the Achean Gangs contract will have access to a special mission area.
Do not worry though:
there will be a LOT of mission areas already available to all EXODE players!!
