The powers that be want us living in fear and feel that everything is a crisis. Yes, inflation has caused havoc on the housing industry. However if folks would stop living above their means, that would solve much of the problem. If you cannot pay for it in full, you do not need it. We may need to go back to the days when many people live in one house under one roof.
