For blogging, you are not guaranteed of what you will earn. You may write a beautiful article but in the end you will earn few cents.
For play to earn games , once you buy the right weapons , seed , cards , etc. You are certain of earning rewards.

I agree with you on this. And they give out less energy when it comes to gaming. I fear that content creation might have a huge challenge in the coming days.
They can't compete with playtoearn and can't reach the level.
