Thank you for the insight on why people rely so much on tips while working at a restaurant over there.
Here in Nigeria, restaurants do pay salaries even though it is usually below the country's minimum wages, and people don't give tips that much, just a few do.
Restaurant workers seem to always get the bad end of the deal...
