Beyond Gilligan’s Island, Bakus had a diverse career, notably serving as the voice of Mr. Meeu in General Electric commercials and starring in the ABC crime drama The Feather and Father Gang in 1977. Sadly, Bakus passed away in Los Angeles on July 3, 1989, due to pneumonia complications after battling Parkinson’s disease. His memorable performances continue to delight fans and mark him as an enduring figure in television history.
