Election Day 2016 -> None Of The Above Will Do

I used to think that voting mattered. However, based on the way things played out in the days leading up to the United States Presidential Election of 2016, I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter. Voting simply doesn't matter...

As the Co-Founder and CEO of Follow My Vote, I have been working to change the system from within. I thought, if my company could build an end-to-end verifiable blockchain-based voting system and get the government to adopt it, we could at least be assured that the voting systems we have in place are honest. And, with an honest voting system in place, we could work together to build a path to true liberty.

With all of the knowledge that has come to light during this election season, it's clear that the problem we face here in the United States is much bigger than we ever imagined. At this point, I firmly believe that our entire political system is corrupt. The information Wikileaks has published over the last few months is all the proof we need. We have fallen victim to a two-party system that only serves the elite in power. We are given the illusion of choice while the puppet masters control the players and the game from above.

I have always been one to question authority in search of the truth.

I don't have all the answers, but, I've have reached a point in my life where something deep inside is telling me that democracy is not the way forward for humanity.

Democracy naturally leads to oppression. The majority decide what rules the minority must follow as they live out their lives here on earth. In a democracy, the majority rule over the minority. In my opinion, no man has the right to rule over another. People should be allowed to live their lives the way they want, as long as they are not causing harm to anyone else.

To demonstrate my disapproval of the corrupt political system we have here in the United States, I voted for "NONE OF THE ABOVE."

At the end of the day, voting doesn't matter because it doesn't address the root of our problems. We can do better. It's time to evolve.

We need to work together to build a new model, one that makes democracy obsolete. We need to build a model that leads to each and every human being living freely in peace.
