The Last Light
Introduction:
Sometimes life feels like an endless tunnel of darkness. But even in the deepest shadows, there is always a spark within us waiting to shine. This is the story of Ruhan, a boy who discovered that true light does not come from the eyes, but from within the heart.
The Story:
In a quiet village lived a boy named Ruhan. He was born with weak eyesight—one eye almost blind and the other slowly fading. Although brilliant in studies, people around him doubted his future.
Every day on his way to school, Ruhan watched his friends run, play, and laugh in the fields. He stood aside, his heart aching—“Will my life always remain in darkness?”
One evening, while sitting silently near the mosque, he met an old cobbler carrying a worn-out bag and some mended shoes. The man stopped, looked into Ruhan’s eyes, and said:
“Son, light is not only in the eyes. Light lives within the soul. And no one can stop the one who carries that inner light.”
That night, Ruhan couldn’t sleep. He kept repeating those words. “If my eyes limit me, why not awaken the light of my mind and heart?”
From then on, Ruhan dedicated himself to learning. Books, radio lessons, recorded lectures—he gathered knowledge in every possible way. Slowly, people began calling him “The Wise Ruhan.”
Ten years later, he founded the first library in his village. With old donated books and endless passion, he taught others:
“Do not fear the darkness of your eyes, when you can become the light for others.”
On the library wall, he painted in bold letters:
“There is no such thing as the last light, when you can be the light yourself.”
Moral of the Story
No limitation can define you. True vision comes from knowledge, determination, and courage. Even when the world doubts you, if you carry the light within, you can turn every darkness into hope.
