"Pasahero" is a hiligaynon word in Bacolod, means passenger in English.

Hello! It's me again Blue for an another blog. Just want to share some of my experiences as a commuter for a long time. Hope you all can relate and have fun while reading my blog! :))

When I was a kid who thought about riding jeepneys, bus and tricyles are fun and exciting, because it amazes my inner self to observe the surrounding. Also, to look around and familiarize everything that wonders my directional self, because one day I will be alone in commuting without the help of my parents.

Commuting is okay, not unless you face and experience the difficulties.

Fast forward, in my teenage years up until now that I'm an adult.

Now that I'm capable of riding alone and understand all the situations as a commuter. First thing in my mind is the
traffic, every day ang night.

Makes me feel so tired that I really want to fall asleep. Althroughout your ride, you'll experience different feelings in riding. I can smell all the smokes and to the point I smell the body odor, under arm's stink smells like I want to vomit plus the smells of feet, like it wasn't washed for a weeks. I can't deny the "ewwwww" expression in my face, especially that I'm kinda strict when it comes to hygeine.

Another thing, I must be in a long line of waiting before I can ride like the pain in your feet makes you angry and cut off your patient that you want to scream loud! Or to cut off in your line and be at the first line.

Also, these untied hair that will slap you in your face, like I just wanna cut it off and if it really hits you hard then it will sting.

Adding on,these stuff that are a lot is so difficult for me to pass in the middle to take a sit or I'm about to say "sa lugar lang" or stop because I arrived in my destination. Even me, I struggle a lot everytime I do have to carry stuff like grocery, or food.

I have encountered these different people who are doing their thing like: watching videos, surfing, and playing in their cellphones, that really caught my attention because of their loud volumes. Loud voices that came from these group of friends that irratates my ears. Vehicles' horn that are so loud that can burst my eardrums. Screams, cry and talks from the kids that wont stop, it makes me more uncomfortable everytime I ride. It seem that they don't respect others passenger but , I can't complain-- it's a public transportaion.

To add on, passing on the fair to the other person 'til it reaches to the driver, is also a commom problem especially if these person is so mean or tired to accept it and pass on. Even though I said " please" still they will make face that really alarmed myself in their kindess towards on me.

BUT STILL! PUBLIC ETTIQUETTE THOUGH!

That "oh sht it's raining, gosh" or "it is really hot, shocked makes me more exhausted* " with a stamping of my feet and making face of worried. The weather is one of the most difficulties of being a commuter.

Umbrella is really the key for this but I'm not that type of person who always brings umbrella, and that's something I can't deny my fault. I remember the night that I'm heading to my workplace, it's raining cats and dogs so from our house riding a tricyle to where the jeepneys at, I was soaking wet because every roads are flooded. At some point, I'm riding a jeepney that my pants and my hair are soaking wet. With that, I arrived in my workplace late and shivering, and I hope that I won't happen again to me because it really affects me a lot.

While when the weather is too hot, suncreen is a must, I always put suncreens every 3-4 hours because it really protects my skin from the heat especially during summer time and the heat index is increasing. Everyday is a sweaty day, like I really felt every dripping of my sweat on my skin everytime I'm riding. And one thing that I'm not comfortable about is the sweat from my underarms, you know what it is right? Like woah! Also, everytime I look away through the window makes me dizzy especially if it'a too hot and wants to vomit. Plus, these other passenger that have a strong smell of perfume, as if they're the only smelling good person in the world. As well, the smoke from vehicles that gives me a headache and lung disease, and I can't really avoid it, again I'm just riding a public transportation.

Lastly, being a commuter is also being financially prepared because it is part of a budgetary plan in my allowance, especially during this time that the increasing of fairs are not stable, so we should be aware of it and be prapared for the possible changes.

In conclusion to everything that I just stated, being a commuter is also fun and it has also a positive effect for me. I can socialize and reflect myself to others' situation and be kind towards different passengers. Meeting different person and experiencing different kind of situations is a lesson to learn for me, because everyday is a learning day. I'm able to control myself , be patient enough and be considerate to others.

In addition, I'm able to see different sceneries that gives me a lot of feelings to feel, best thing is when I travel long distances. It helps me to relax and be away from stress, because....

Every ride is always a pride.

That's all everyone! Thank you :))

I like your reaction on that " ewww " part hahahaha. But, as a passenger in a public transportation, we don't have a choice. I advised you to use a mask everytime you go out.

Hehehehe ewww, kidding! I agree
