Healthy Kids: What Are Healthier FRUITS For Kids To Consume?

in #lifestyle-health7 years ago (edited)

This post will shed a light on what your children should consume, in order to have healthy bowel habits. Of course, these HEALTHY FRUITS are beneficial anyway -

So read this if you want to help your kids learn healthy eating habits, so that once they fly the coop (to college) they'll retain their good #health (and remember, parents, it will also provide you some peace of mind) :

Rules of Eating: Children's Nutrition Guidelines

There are some basic common sense Rules of #Eating, or Kids Nutrition guidelines.

I am providing you a partial list.

Nutritional Guidelines – Some guidelines (when followed) will aid your family with certain conditions. Constipation eating, for example, is eating foods prepared in a certain way.

For instance, many people are helped by dining on dried fruits, cooked fruit, or stewed fruits.

Fiber is helpful for constipation because it serves to both soften the stool, and add bulk. Simply FOCUS on eating a wide variety of cooked fruits (See List Below), plus nuts, whole grains, vegetables and legumes.

Legumes are beans, nuts, peas and lentils. An example is black beans; each of these #legumes has a unique nutritional profile, and provides your family with a bounty of #fiber.

Eat Bulk: Dried Fruit & Cooked Fruit ( constipation eating)

Pears
Peaches
Papaya
Figs
Apricots
Pineapple
Prunes

Food Habits: Here are some Nutritional Eating Guidelines (food habits which your kids can benefit from):

Learn to eat fruits & vegetables from an early age
Don’t eat things advertised on t.v.
Read the food labels before you make a purchase
Read up on Recent Probiotics Books (or buy "The Diabetic Chef’s Year-Round Cookbook" )
Do Not eat food due to boredom
Buy a Freezer and buy in bulk
Eat at healthy restaurants (or Cook at home)
Eat things your grandmother would have prepared
Use Probiotics (advantageous: Beneficial bacteria)
Limit Salt intake
Use healthy herbs for flavorings
Do not be lured by foods making claims (“Low-Fat”)
Use natural sweeteners – Stevia is a good one
Eat organic when possible
Drink tea without caffeine in it
Keep a Food Diary (& detect any food allergies your child may have and deal with it )
Attend a Class about edible herbs (kids may enjoy)
Farmers Market – Be Sure & Visit when possible!
Choose Wild Game Meat on occasion.
Have your kids do a Cookbook Scrapbook! (Have FUN and bake with them)

Tips on Supermarket & Grocery Shopping:

Always have a Prepared List & stick to it
Shop on the outside edges of the store (stay out of the middle section)
Buy mostly “fresh” fruit & veggies; can or freeze the excess
No “last minute” spontaneous purchases (by the Checkout)

BLOOD TYPES: WHAT DO THEY HAVE TO DO WITH ONE'S EATING PLAN?

Also, I will REFER you to a good book called "Eat Right For Your Type".

This Kindle book (also available in hardback) is available at Amazon. If you know your child's Blood Type, this resource will guide you as to best practices (as far as which foods will be BENEFICIAL to your child ). Authored by Peter D'Adamo, this textbook includes charts, resources, and excellent references.

It can help you improve your family's health. It tells you (as per your BLOOD Type, or your child's blood type) what foods to avoid, and which food (s) to consume; it also touches on WEIGHT LOSS.

The blood types discussed are Type O, Type A, Type B, and Type AB. Your Blood Type is a powerful genetic fingerprint - this book will provide you an understanding of blood types, for the GENETIC characteristics of our ancestors live in us today.

Sort:

As they said, start them young! I always gave different types of fruits to my children and thankfully, they stick with eating fruits now in their adulthood.

#HEALTH POINTS FOR YOU:

I just recently (in past year) found out how #Pineapple is useful with sore throats. It can help the body expel mucous and provide some relief ♦♦ And a smoothie will cool your throat's red-hot soreness. I like to use #blueberries in mind [they say that blueberries contain astringent tannins that soothe sore throats .

And with the season now upon us, is something to keep in mind.

TAKE CARE

Thanks for posting this! Lots of great information. Following you now :)

Thanks for saying this. Recently, I am eating a lot more #fruit & am ordering healthier 'wild' meat (Bison etc), or grassfed beef.

To each their own.
Luck on your journey!

Good advice, I used to have to hide the good food or they wouldn't eat it

Great information! It is so important to get little ones eating healthy from a young age. My daughter is 10 months and she has been such a good heathy eater but has recently become very picky. I am just continuing to provide healthy options and hoping she will take to more of them again soon :)

Thank you for your kind words.

Yes, I do think it is essential to get them started early. To set those good habits up... so they get really ingrained.

Do you make homemade baby food for your little daughter ?

That can be helpful - if you have the time.

Good looking out for the little ones, after all they are the future

Yes indeed - it's so True.
i enjoyed seeing the little #kids at their special event in New York City - the U.S. Open (they were all having so MUCH fun & it was a JOY to see ).

I see that You've made some #Homesteading posts ..? (I enjoyed 1 about EGGS udid )
