Four Days Without Light

in #lifestylelast month

Hello Hive family,

Life has been a bit overwhelming for me lately as I prepare for my father-in-law’s burial. Emotions are high, energy is low, and on top of it all, our light had issues and I have guests. The worst is that fuel price increased and all fuel stations here are closed.( Double whahal)

We refuse to allow our problem have the better part of us

It's been four days now without light in my flat, although my neighbours have light. My husband has been to their office twice without any positive feedback.
So they promised to come today and as early as 6:AM he called them and they asked him to go get the ladder so they can check the fault. So he rented one and they came around to fix it

Make every moment worth it.

I was on my way back home when I saw my beloved returning the rented ladder. I just had to laugh. I had to take some pictures because he was looking so funny with it. Imagine going through all that effort, only for NEPA to still “hold their light.” 😂

Sometimes I wonder how we Nigerians survive these electricity struggles. It’s frustrating, but I have decided to laugh out my frustration instead of crying.

Try and take garri and groundnut for lunch. Use cold water, it helps calm the tension.

**Hive family, how do you cope when NEPA keeps you in darkness for days? Do you wait it out, or do you have your own funny coping stories? **

Sort:

My dear it can be frustrating, we experience it once in a while and it's not something to write home about, the stress of where to charge your devices, the fear of foods in the freezer getting bad, honestly it can make you get some little madness.

NEPA matter for Naija Don tire everybody. The same pattern of services that can't help anyone is what they keep rendering, it's disappointing.

Endure naa.
