Last week I was in my hometown Şanlıurfa. I went there because it was a break. My aim to go was both to see my close relatives and to be with them and help them in some work. I've come a long way for this. Since the road takes a lot, it is both tiring and causes distraction. For him, it took me time to pull myself together after the road was over. When I arrived, I came across the busy period.
After a little rest right away, I went to the field that was ours. This year we planted some of our field with cotton. We planted the other part of corn. Since the cotton plant is a plant that requires a lot of effort, it makes people happy to see its harvest. The growing time is much later than the plants planted here. For this reason, double crops can be planted from other plants during the year. It is possible to buy only one product a year from cotton. This shows how troublesome it is.
As I toured the field, I saw with my own eyes that it was time for all the cotton. When he got home, my brother and I talked about this situation and on the second day we called for a reap to reap cotton. Now cotton was starting to fall on the ground. For him, we had to get him out of the field without spending any time. If we waited a little longer, we didn't want to leave our job to chance, as the amount spilled on the ground would increase more if it rained. After mowing our cotton, we decided to wait a little because the price was not good. We will wait a while in the warehouse we prepared before. We will sell when the prices are good. The current price does not meet the effort we give. After so much trouble, thinking about the price caused us a little disappointment. On top of that, the expense we make when soothing cotton is quite high. The spraying and fertilizing phases are too much. The price needs to be good for him. At least we need to make a profit when we subtract these expenses. These are very important situations for farming.

Geçen hafta memleketim olan Şanlıurfadaydım. Oraya ara tatil olduğu için gittim. Gitme amacım hem yakın akrabalarımı görmek hemde yanlarında bulunup bazı işlerde onlara yardım etmek oldu. Bunun için çok uzun bir yol yaptım. Yol çok sürdüğü için hem yorucu oluyor hemde dikkat dağınıklığına sebep oluyor. Onun için yol bittikten sonra kendimi toparlamam zaman aldı. Vardığımda işlerin en yoğun olduğu döneme denk geldim.
Hemen biraz dinlendikten sonra bizim olan tarlaya gittim. Bu sene tarlamızın bir kısmını pamuk ektik. Diğer bir kısmını ise mısır ektik. Pamuk bitkisi çok uğraş gerektiren bir bitki olduğu için hasadını görmek insanı mutlu ediyor. Yetişme süresi burada ekilen bitkilere göre çok daha geç oluyor. Onun için diğer bitkilerden sene içerisinde çift ürün ekilebiliyor. Pamuktan ise yılda sadece bir ürün almak mümkün oluyor. Bu durum da onun ne kadar zahmetli bit ürün olduğunu gösteriyor.
Tarlayı gezerken pamukların hepsinin vaktinin geldiğini kendi gözlerim ile gördüm. Eve gittiğinde abim ile bu durumu konuştuk ve ikinci gün pamuğu biçmek için biçer çağırdık. Artık pamuk yerlere dökülmeye başlamıştı. Onun için hiç zaman harcamadan tarladan çıkarmamız gerekliydi. Biraz daha beklesek yağmur yağması durumunda yere dökülen miktar daha fazla artacağı için işimizi şansa bırakmak istemedik. Pamuğumuzu biçtikten sonra fiyat iyi olmadığı için biraz bekletme kararı aldık. Daha önce hazırladığımız ambarda biraz bekleteceğiz. Fiyatlar iyi olduğunda satacağız. Şuanki fiyat verdiğimiz emeği karşılamıyor. Bu kadar zahmetten sonra fiyatın düşün olması bizde biraz hayal kırıklığına sebep oldu. Bunun üzerine pamuğu yatiştirirken yaptığımız masraf oldukça fazla. İlaçlama ve gübreleme evreleri çok fazla. Onun için fiyatın iyi olması gerekiyor. En azından bu masrafları çıkarınca kar elde etmemiz gerekiyor. Bunlar çiftçilik için çok önemli durumlar.
