Well, i HATE winders. It should come with a square sticker that says:
Virus Inside
My first linux distro was RedHat.
And it went into some machines that were shipped to Nigeria with as many modems as they could stuff.
If i tried to run those modems with NT, it would have never worked.
But RedHat ran them all straight out of the box. I really was not expecting that.
I have never been into looking at people's desktops. I have only really cared about using and usability. I ran XP till i couldn't stand it anymore.
BTW, i really hate microsloth winders because i really know microsloth winders. Been under the cover, so to speak with many programs. You think that the registry is bad... that's just the tip of the iceberg.
A lot of times with Windows if I had to run it I often would have installations that were past their service life. I ran Windows 2000 for a long time and then held out with Windows XP for a long time in one situation. That was mainly on my parents machines.
I somewhat do that with Linux in certain situations which usually isn't as big of an issue but lately I have these new installs of Ubuntu 18.04 which is new so I'm kind of current as far as that goes.
