Choosing Your Niche

Building a list of subscribers is the goal of this program, however, you do need to communicate SOMETHING to your subscribers to keep them interested and wanting to read your e-mails.

Finding the Perfect niche is a very individualized decision. To be successful in your business, it is quite helpful to find something you enjoy, or are passionate about. If you have a passion about a particular niche, it will show in your advertising and emails. People in general can see through fake passion. Besides, you want an online business that is not a chore, otherwise you will have to force yourself to do it. It should be something that you really enjoy.

Of course, my niche is list building, so you can't use that cuz it's mine!!! (Just kidding). I have been involved in many areas of marketing in the past, and have done well with several of them, but list building is the one area that I really have a passion about, and I think part of that passion comes from seeing so many people doing it inefficiently and ineffectively.

When you find a program or niche that interests you, then research it more. One of the easiest ways to do this is Google search the company. Your results will be filled with plenty of input. I find that forums are a great place to research a company since people can add their opinions and comments as well. Look for programs that are well liked and have proven track records. You will generally find someone who bad mouths the program, even if it's a good program. Look to the responses of others when reading a bad review. Remember, that some people always want to blame their own failures on someone else.

WARNING: Avoid becoming a Casino Marketer. What I mean by that, is do not pull the handle on every program you find, just to see what works. This can prove to be a disaster for you and your list. If you are constantly bombarding your list with every new thing that comes along, then you will find your list rapidly unsubscribing. A good way to avoid this is starting your budget for your business. This will help you to remain focused on your true end point, Building YOUR Business!

If at this point, you feel totally lost about how to begin finding your passion, then you really need to consider joining Click,Track,Profit. I've been there and done that In the beginning I was star struck. I think you are right. Pick an opportunity and do it for all its worth before moving on to another one. If you learn to do one very well you can add another one later. Small steps are better in the long run.

Great comment @alente. Thanks for the read.

Excellent post.

A well-curated list of targeted subscribers in a specific niche will be incredibly responsive compared to a larger "catch-all" email list which will generally get stale pretty quickly

Absolutely Mark. A list that knows who you are and what your passion is will bring a much larger yield in the long run. Thanks for the comment.

The good ol' slot machine marketing mentality lol

Bang on man, great post!

And thanks for promoting via ListNerds!

Thanks Jon. I appreciate the read and comment.

It is so easy to go for shiny objects. My scenario used to be

  • See a new shiny object that everybody should want
  • Promote it for a week
  • No sales, next shiny object
Luckily I have outgrown what @jongolson called the "Spiral of Doom".

Yes! absolutely, Bob.

My niche is gaming, I wish the funnels would give more options to add. Like Splinterlands and Rising Star. ONe major onboarding tool to the hive ecosystem is games.
Came from listnerds. That is such a great tool to drive traffic to your posts. After a week of collecting Mail I yesterday promoted my guilds post to 864 members on the list. We will see how much more traffic it will bring. Best point: it was completely free!

Gaming is a great niche. Continue to write about the different gaming communities and you will do well with it. Thanks for the read and comments.

Avoid becoming a Casino Marketer.

Lol, good warning! Works for crypto too. Don't treat crypto like gambling!

Absolutely @gadrian. Crypto should be INVESTED and not gambled.

This can prove to be a disaster for you and your list. If you are constantly bombarding your list with every new thing that comes along, then you will find your list rapidly unsubscribing.

You are very correct here, I remember blocking and unsubscribing to 8 of them last night. they really have nothing to offer except for the pitch. That's all. I will take this in mind as I don't like the pitch myself.

Thanks, @hariton. I feel that sending emails to your list should be like them receiving mail from a friend rather than an inconvenience.

It was supposed to be like that but the pitch change the propose lol
