Thanks for helping me figure out my criteria for upvoting emails on ListNerds. Though I prefer a post made by the sender himself, there are times that I am making an exception just if the content is something new, very interesting, and the author really exerted effort in writing.
I also prefer articles published on Hive.
Another consideration I make is if the article is written by someone new either on Hive or on ListNerds.
I think the last criterion is more subjective. Though I am open to all kinds of content, I prefer articles that promote what we call "common grace" in theology. Typical examples of this include something that exhibits truth, something that affirms both order and liberty, something beautiful that we see in the world, something that demonstrates special gifts and talents, some insights from science, technology, art, and other fields of learning, some spiritual aspirations, and something that promotes a virtuous life.
If anything, it gets us thinking about how we think! While it's good to go on instinct, it may also be useful to have defined criteria.
Your description of "common grace" is fascinating, I enjoy all of these things also, especially the promotion of living a virtuous life.
Thank you for offering your insight.
My pleasure!
