We are working towards an increase in communication.
We find that the more we can communicate with others, the more informed we become. It's hard for others to get to know our stories when they can't understand them. This is why we started this project.
When we can see other people's lives in our own eyes, it gives us a different perspective. Instead of just assuming that someone doesn't matter because you can't understand what they are saying, you could maybe see that they live the same sort of existence as you do, or possibly so insanely different that it's hard to fathom.
We have seen a few translations come in from parts of the world where people truly live with horrors that probably seem surreal to others. There are also posts that are translations of beautiful poetry that might touch our heart and we would never have known them if someone hadn't taken the time to convey their meaning to us. Google can translate words to us but it will be a while before it can translate subtle differences.
That's where we might be able to help.
As we work on this project we are meeting many new people. Every once in a while they agree to help out and then there is another connection we have made. Eventually, we hope to have so many connections in so many languages that nobody will need to guess what someone else is trying to say.
Maybe you are one of the people that we will connect with. If you are, then welcome aboard. We can use all the help we can get, even if it's just an upvote on our posts or a share. If you are a translator, even better!
