Hola queridos amigos!

Hello dear friends! Today I bring a topic with which I would like to start a cycle of interactive thoughts referring to different topics. Today I will talk about "Music." There are as many concepts of music as there are ways of thinking. For some, music is just a way to have fun, for many, a way to fill a void; for others, like me, music is a way of life, a way of expressing oneself, of giving a message. I feel that music is a way to give color and life to words. Music brings joy in moments of sadness and peace, in moments of anxiety.
When I got home from work I sat in front of the television and changing channels, I found a program that talked about a clarinetist and a cellist who in a very beautiful way carried music to children in refugee status. This, for them, was a mission that they took very seriously, to help, in some way mitigate the pain that these children were carrying. When I saw this I thought, this is a beautiful and human gesture, which can only be carried out through music. Unfortunately the program was already ending and I did not know who the musicians were watching, nor the name of the documentary. While continuing to change the channels of the TV, I found another channel where they only put music, all day, and I realized the great contrast between what I had just seen and this other, that at the time of presenting the song only grotesque images of two or more people were seen, half-naked, with insinuating movements and other characteristics that, the only thing that they achieved in me, was wanting to make this reflection.
Music is not just entertainment and space to have fun vulgarly. Music is much more than that. It is reflection, wisdom, legacy, it is Love, it is food for the soul of so many people wounded and set apart from their roots. Among other so many kindnesses, music unites cultures and has no borders. Music is a bridge to communicate and help the other, bring the true joy that humanity needs, and yes; music is dance, it is embrace, it is a common song that unites man. But, it should not be a mere consumer product. When its composition and recording is thought to turn the listener into a submissive consumer, without the minimum capacity to choose or discern between good and bad music; Without a firm criterion, the consumer is a kind of robot conditioned to a sound and prefabricated images made for the sole purpose of selling.
