So I bought the domain for LocalAltcoins.co and last night I finally drafted this plan and pointed my new domain localaltcoins.co to http://steemit.com/trending/localaltcoins so that people can post AltCoin Ads like LocalBitcoin.com but for both Bitcoin AND All Altcoins including Ethereum Steem, Just post an ad with the tag "#localaltcoins" and then a tag with
your "#County" then #City" then the "Altcoin" so My five tags for an Ad I would post to sell Monero would have the tags "#localaltcoins" then "#USA" then "#SanDiego" then "Monero" and then "#sell" and thats it! We will build maybe a program to sort the posts perhaps in @Jesta 's ChainBB at http:///beta.ChainBB.com which can let you login with your steemit account an lets you see steemit posts in categories like a forum style, with any new features like sharing rewards with other users before you make the post, creating your own "SubSteemit" subreddit style sub forum, and many more interesting features!
And To help steemit users make money on the side becoming altcoin and BTC dealers, i will be creating posts in the future on how to become an altcoin trader and make money selling and buying popular crypto currencies like Ethereum and Steem/SBD for Cash for a small fee in your local area and now this has become a possibility through steemit! Now I feel have helped to pioneered this concept and practice of allowing a website to be "Powered by Steemit" using a steemit category or Hashtag as the actual website, in this case using steemit as a simple forum to allow people to post ads and even make MONEY posting their Altcoin trading ads like if localbitcoins.com was free and helped make you money for posting ads and replying to them! You can't do ANY of this on the website that stole HALF a bitcoin from me and NEVER paid me back!

(Ive told this story before but back in 2015 an LBC admin simply froze my account, stole my .49 BTC and unfroze it after it was emptied, without any excuse, leaving me without what was then my entire savings and only fifty dollars in 2015 but they owe me $1500 now with Bitcoin around $3000 and I keep emailing them every few months reminding them that their debt will only grow and grow ...THIS IS WHY we need a BLOCKCHAIN replacement for the tyrannical local Bitcoin and local Altcoin website! NO Admin or ANYone should be allowed to come in and STEAL your bitcoins! NO MATTER WHAT! Steemit ACHIEVES this dream! NOONE can take down your ad here on steemit and NOONE can take money from your steem wallet! Don't EVER use the LocalBitcoins "Escrow" unless you want your funds open to theft by admins like I experienced! ONLY use that website for the ads and never actually deposit into that BTC wallet to sell bitcoins, just meet with the dealers in person! We should all be decentralized and use our OWN wallets and only deal with trusted steemit users who have an INCENTIVE to keep a good reputation because if you rip someone off here you will never start making any money, we will all just flag scammers! So the more trusted Steemit users who ave been here a while and have earned some steempower will have something at stake and wont be ABLE to get away with scamming anyone for very long! I have faith in this concept and believe LocalAltCoins.co Powered by Steemit.com has a real chance of growing!
LocalBitcoins makes you signup to post ads....Localaltcoins.co is no different but by making you signup just for STEEMIT we can actually claim that we PAY you a few dollars JUST for joining LocalAltcoins.co! And this way we will simply drive users to steemit instead of attempting re rebuild the wheel and create a totally new system! now posting an ad here is as easy as posting to steemit with the tag "#localaltcoins" and a SECOND tag with the the name of your country, and then third with name of your city, a fourth with name of your altcoin and fifth tag "buy" or "sell" :) You can also just make a post with the hashtag "#localaltcoins" and list your city in the title, but adding the tags will help sort all the ads in the future! ! You can also leave a comment on this post and leave a link to your new LocalAltCoin Ad post an announce what coins u have to buy and or sell!
The need for you to signup with steemit makes it so we can monitor you and trust you! This way all transactions, deals and conversations are public and available to anyone so if a deal goes back, we can flag the potential scammer once we prove their guilt and so if anyone tries to steal from someone, by promising a trade and accepting bitcoin and never sending the fiat, we can use @steemitescrow an auxiliary account I created for the creation of a Trusted Steemit Escrow service, and in the future I will be happy to give this account to a trusted whale who we can all vote on, or some sort of verified legit blockchain escrow smart contract type system that I would love to help fund the development of! For Now I hope my reputation can convince everyone that I can ad should be trusted with any large amount of money, because someone could send me 1 Billion dollars in bitcoin on accident and if they found me or if I knew they sent it to me on accident and needed it back, I would of course send it back, someone off, and destroy any chances for them to make a single penny here on steemit!
So I believe using Steemit instead of trying to pay someone to develop this website idea for me, was a redundant task, as steemit exists already to serve this purpose, and I can only hope more website startups decide to simply redirect their website domain to a steemit page! ESPECIALLy once steemit allows for some custom Subreddit style modifications on different steemit "categories" or "subSteemit"

Because why pay ANY price over spot when you can always find someone who needs to buy BTC if you need to sell it! And if you need to sell BTC you will also always find someone who needs to BUY it! Think of yourself as a cheap Bitcoin ATM that can simply offer a cheaper rate than whatever your local Bitcoin ATM or localBitcoin dealer offers! Same applies for Altcoins! And anyone of us who has a Poloniex.com or Bittrex.com account can acquire ANY altcoin like ethereum or steem or ripple or potcoin or WHATEVER people want, for a small 0.25% fee so you can charge anything over that, id recommend at least 5% to 10% when selling people ethereum or buying their ethereum because Ethereum users have money and they can afford too pay you a small percent in order to cash out and you COULD offer the SAME 3% fee coinbase charges but allow a user to get their cash INSTANTLY so they wont have ANY reason to use coinbase ESPECIALLy if you just make your price like 1 or half a percent lower than coinbase or local BTC atms and dealers!
and you can ALWAYS make your price lower than the nearest competition! Youll never find someone selling bitcoins near spot or below for very long because someone always finds them , buys them up and resells the for a profit! Its called price Arbitrage! And selling your Bitcoins even at 1 percent allows you to beat coinbase but u can also go over 1 percent and MAKE money doing it too!
Anyway just leave a request for an Alltcoin deal, like if you want to buy steem or SBD or steempower and u just have cash , post a request! If you want to buy ethereum or sell it for cash without using bitcoin, and get the same rate as COinbase, but without ANy wait, post a request!

Yea! I think this is great preliminary idea! Using an escrow account and having the ads here and visible on the blockchain is actually pretty damn genius. I used localbitcoins for a while, but never got any sales, and eventually took my funds off their site. But I can totally see how this could happen to someone.
Steemit would build a level of trust between the buyer and the seller. And the fear of getting flagged into oblivion would deter any thieves . . especially if they are a long time Steemit user. I dig the idea man. Looking forward to seeing the process moving forward.
im glad u get the big picture! this blockchain reallly does open us up to so much more its like blockchain all the things...were all a minority in the eworld, most ppl dont even know what crypto is so were all "safe" in that were all gonna be millionares if we can all just sae up $1000 each before the years up and if my friends in africa can save up that much we all can! get one of every altcoin too....theres gonna be stages of millionares created over course f these next big rallies!
Great thread. I was about to post a similair thread. I strongly advice people to only buy in to cryptos that have a solid background: A solid team, product, advisors, preferably VC investors, etc. Sell all cryptos that don't have this solid background. It's a waiste of money. I found this great website: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm really enthusiastic about this site, they let you analyze every single coin out there.
