Yesterday I proposed a rebranding for @blocktrades logo, you can read why i'm rebranding Blocktrades Logo here https://peakd.com/logo/@doze/blocktrades-logo
Today I propose a less conservative 5 new logos
Once again, this is my own work and i was not commissioned or asked to rebrand Blocktrades logo
Lets go directly to the logos
Software used: Adobe Illustrator
Image format: Square
Presentation mode: White and black background side by side

My preference from all 10 logos goes to this two, by order
First Preference

Second Preference

Thanks for following me!

If the "Second Preference" one had the original logo as its square (cube) that would look pretty neat.
I am not really into a new logo for Blocktrades at all because I actually love the original one but... if something does change I think the original one should be incorporated into it.
The original one is the bitshares logo, no?
That was news to me. I had no idea, I guess it is... or at least the front square of the cube is apparently Bitshares.
Now I do not know what I think about it. I guess that I could always deep dive Bitshares but that might be as futile as deep diving the other two symbols. 🤠
Maybe the Hive symbol there instead of Bitshares... but I dunno Blocktrades handles a nice variety of Cryptos so I dunno if that would be all that helpful for them outside the Hive ecosystem. I am in no way trying to speak for them or anything and am just saying: I do not know.
The cube displays logos on it's faces for bitshares and bitcoin. This is because these were the first two cryptocurrencies we supported.
I suppose the choice of a cube is obvious (a cube is a block and the company is called Blocktrades). But the cube with the various crypto faces can also be seen as a symbol for the act of trading one coin (one face) for another (by flipping the face that is up).
I actually really like our existing logo: it has a lot of personal meaning to me. It was originally designed by my coding partner during the development of the Blocktrades code, but I've never seen another logo that I felt captured the essence of Blocktrades' business better.
It's definitely not classical company logo that a graphic artist would design (it contains too many design elements), but I feel it suits our needs. Somewhat humorously, I recently saw the logo for "BlueSky" and it is a blue cube (i.e. a simplified form of our logo).
Thanks for the breakdown there and some of the history behind the logo. I feel happy having always grasped the 'cube and block' connection!
I never grasped the 'flipping' part even though I caught the different faces meaning different assets to trade but now that you have spelled it out it makes total sense.
That is pretty humorous about "BlueSky" and it would not surprise me at all if they cribbed it of the Blocktrades logo.
👍
You are extremely good with logos! I like 7. They are all so good it was a hard choice to pick one!
Thanks buddy!
Have a good one
