The mystical love in the Bible: We rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. Song of Songs 1:4

The Song of Songs is a book of the Old Testament dedicated to expressing the burning love between two lovers, who seek each other, and who want to be happy together.
The allegorical descriptions do not say much about the lovers, there are references to Solomon and the Shunammite woman who served King David in the last years of his life, but perhaps the mention of these characters in the book was to enrich the descriptions of the texts.
It is interesting to note that due to the generality of the expressions, the texts of this book can also be interpreted in another way, and this is why the book is included in the Old Testament. Many prophets like Joel and Jeremiah spoke of the old covenant as a relationship of love between God and Israel, which is why this book can be interpreted as an expression of God's love for his people, a love that demands to be reciprocated and to which God constantly calls despite the sins and errors of men.
The Book can also be analyzed as King Solomon's tireless search for that mystical and mysterious wisdom, that wisdom from above that is a gift from God and that like a hidden treasure must be found. But this book also has a deep spiritual or moral content, as the book shows us, the true love in the Bible fundamentally seeks the good of the loved one and not only the own good of the lover; that is why this love is a love deeply interrelated with friendship and communion. This book is in a certain sense an anticipation of the Christian love, called in the Greek language Agape, the spiritual love that is unconditional, forgives everything, and does not take into account the evil received.
This is how the book begins, expressing the love of the beloved for her reciprocated love:
"Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—
for your love is more delightful than wine.
Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes;
your name is like perfume poured out.
No wonder the young women love you!
Take me away with you—let us hurry!
Let the king bring me into his chambers.
We rejoice and delight in you;
we will praise your love more than wine" Song of Songs 1:1-4.
