Valentine’s Day Ideas For All You Lovers Out There ❤️😍

in #love6 years ago (edited)

Flowers, chocolates, dinner, oh my! These are the Valentines staples. Prices get jacked up on bouquets, boxes of chocolates are snagged at the grocery store while picking up eggs and milk, and the oh so never ending battle of... where do you want to go for dinner?

Well guys and gals here are some out of the box ideas guaranteed to let your true love know you’re thinking of them on this Valentines!

First, if your significant other says you don’t have to get me anything these are LIES generally speaking haha!

Next, you’re not trying to be out a bunch of money, I get it. My husband and I have been together for 15 years, we both agree that dropping a ton of money on a night out is much less desirable than saving for an awesome vacation or something we’ve been wanting.

Here are ideas from a girl that loves romance and cries at sappy commercials...

1. Ditch the card: Write A Poem
You don’t have to be Lord Byron to write a poem that melts your sweeties heart. It can be funny and not romantic; trust me, a man that can make us laugh is sexy! Use the old Roses are Red poem and plug in her name and some inside jokes with you two, if it doesn’t rhyme it makes it even funnier. If you really want to go all out read it to her 😊❤️

2. Make A Musical Photo Montage and Text It
That’s right you lovers it’s 2018 and your on a Cryptocurrency Social Media site, you can do this! Lol! But, if you’re not sure how... here is how for iPhone users... go to your Photos App, click on People, select your Lover and scroll to the bottom, click Add to Memory and away you go! Complete with music and done in 5 minutes! I wouldn’t ONLY do this one, it’s a nice one to send first thing in the morning to get that V-Day off to a sweet start! ❤️

3. Send her/him Pablo Neruda’s Poem ‘Your Laughter’
I mean for real you could just send this, drop the mic, kick up your feet and be in ‘Imma Valentine’s Boss’ mode all day! This poem will drop your heart in your stomach and little heart bubbles will float around your head. Ole Pablo was a G in lover town!

4. Spontaneous Dance
Yep, sounds corny but trust me on this one! If my husband put on my Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye record and grabbed me to dance he’d be lucky until St. Patty’s Day at least haha!

5. Take a Drive Down A Country Road
This might be my all time favorite! No place to go, just cruising, talking, listening to music and park for a good ole fashion make-out session hehe!

6. Tickets To An Event
This year Valentines is on a Wednesday. Spending time together as a couple can be challenging sometimes with as busy as we all stay, if you can’t get out on Valentines Day then tickets to something you both have been wanting to do is a great option!

7. Go into Nature
It’s winter time and it’s cold but a quick walk in nature together can be a great reason to bundle up together! Also, who doesn’t love being out in the fresh air! We ALL need it and sometimes don’t do it enough

8. Make her/him a sweet treat and/or Dinner
If you need ideas, check out @kotturinn she has beeeaaauuuutiful recipes that are easy to follow!

9. Why I Love You Notes
We know we love each other but sometimes it’s nice to remind each other! Grab a jar and some paper and write 7 reasons why you love your sweetie; one for each day! It’s sure to melt their heart and honestly will put a smile on your face too!

10. If you have a Polaroid Camera
Woah woah woah! Get your mind out of the gutter! Or not, it IS Valentines Day after all lol! Go out with your Polaroid and take pictures of your Valentines Day out! Sounds super basic but trust me having those physical pictures are much more meaningful than all of our digital ones that never see the light of day! You can take pictures of the most insignificant things like a sidewalk that you stumbled over and laughed at, it’s a memory that you can look back on and it’s a great tradition to start and will help with your Valentines for next year 😉

Alright! So, these are my simple but heartfelt ideas! Guaranteed to make you a Valentines G just like ole Pablo Neruda haha! I hope you enjoyed them and I hope you and your Sweetheart have a lovey dovey Valentines! 😍😘❤️

Peace, Love, and Light
