ANDROID Vs IOS
In modern cell phone or mobile technology, the prominent operating systems used in these devices are basically two. These are the Android Operating System and the iPhone operating system (IOS). These two are the most popular operating systems used in the current day manufacturing of mobile phones. Androids are manufactured by various phone manufacturing firms whereas the IOS is manufactured solely by the Apple Company.
There are various similarities and differences between the Android Operating System and the iPhone Operating System. First I would touch on the similarities. There are several similarities between these two operating systems. They both are used in mobile technologies such as smart phones, tablets and others. These Operating Systems are used in these devices because they are the very suitable Operating systems for mobile devices. These software’s are designed in simpler forms compared to that of PC’s, for the mobile devices. Secondly they both uses touch screen interfaces. This is because this kind of software is designed to fit the touch screen revolutionary mobiles devices. Thirdly, they both features swiping, tapping, pinch and zoom functions. And not to forget, both Operating Systems boots to a home screen similarly to that of a desktop computer. These similarities make both Operating Systems very user friendly and also easy to use. Especially with the touch invention which allows the user to touch on whatever he desires to open; makes these devices enjoyable when using them.
However, there are several differences between these two prominent Operating Systems. These differences may not be any much of a vast difference but they can be notice. The first one is the home screen of IOS having rows of applications whereas Android Operating System does not have but rather shortcuts to applications are what can be pinned unto the home screen. These features make both of their applications very accessible. Secondly, iPhone Operating Systems features not a widget but Android Operating System does feature a widget where auto-updating information are provided, such as weather, emails and others. Also with the IOS it has a dock where very mostly used applications can be pinned to, to get ready access to them but Android's applications are rather pinned unto the home screen.
Concluding I would say both devices are very nice and great devices with very amazing developers which are Google with Android and also Apple with IOS. But when deciding to choose when about to purchase any of these devices. What you should consider is what you the user is looking for in the device you are seeking to purchase. I personally would go for Android with regards to it been very much less complicated in terms of use to that of IOS. Notwithstanding, IOS is also a great operating system on the other hand, and it would all boil down to what I initially said about everything boiling down to what the user is looking for the in device that is about to be purchased.
