Just got my new tripod for my Canon digicam 😄 and it's very usable for macro shots, as you'll soon find out.
I decided then to try and shoot the tiny long legs spider who's been living in my bathroom cieling.
Got the camera attached to the tripod, then opened it on max height, focused on the small critter and with Canon android app (which I dowloaded free from google play) took some shot with my LG G6+ smartphone as interface and control over the Canon digicam.

nice photo object. if only more focused and sharper images will look very clear. Her spider is very unique and rare.
