Make an impact

In human history, some people left their foot prints on the sand of time; either by the good they did or the evil they perpetrated. In the bible or contemporary times, there were people who will be remembered for specific things they did or did not do. Some will be remembered for their inventions and laudable feats.

On the other hand, others will be remembered for the errors they committed. Some people had positive impact on their generation while other has negative impact. While some people continue to live on several years after they are dead, some are no noticed even while they are alive! What would a man be remembered for after his death? It is the impact he makes while he lives, the lives he touched and his deeds.

No man was created to live for himself alone; he was created physically into a generation of existence. He is therefore, expected to make impact by fulfilling the purpose for which he was created. To make impact is living an unforgettable positive impression in the minds of anyone who come across you. It also demands investing your life in others and doing what will outlive your existence. In the scriptures, there were men and women who stood for a particular thing in their life time.

Daniel was known for his determination not to defile himself with the king’s food; he was also known for his commitment to prayers. Esther was known for boldness and faith in God to confront the king and thereby save her people.

Abraham was known for his faith in walking with God. Joshua and Caleb were known for their trust and faith in God to give them the Promised Land; they had a different spirit when others lost focus due to fear. Joseph was outstanding for his gift of dreams and resistance from Mrs Potiphar. Samson was known for divine power and anointing as well as compromise, David was known for his skills on the harp. Nehemiah was known for his principles and prayers.

He did not allow comfort in a strange land to make him lose his identity as an Israelite. He always prayed at every opportunity. Every challenge turned him to God. Friends, answer this question; what are you known for and what will you be remembered for?

May your life not be wasted. May you live to fulfill God’s purpose for your existence and may your generation be blessed because of your impact.

Thanks for reading this. God bless you real good.
