Hoy les traigo el post más arriesgado que he hecho en toda mi vida, porque yo nunca había hecho esto: maquillar. En mi profesión hay mucho maquillaje, parece algo imprescindible, pero de verdad, yo prefería mantenerlo ajeno a mí. No me pregunten por qué. Pero me estoy regañando, un actor más completo se maquilla a sí mismo. Aunque cuando estaba pequeño disfrutaba demasiado disfrazarme, lo admito y hacía cosas como estas. LOL:

Yo soy el de la calavera
Antes de continuar, quiero confesar mi admiración por toda la gente que tiene la habilidad de hacerse estas cosas en su propio rostro. No pensaba que fuera tan difícil ¡Y que de verdad tomara tanto tiempo!
Lo estaba subestimando.
Ahora sí, vamos con lo que vinimos. Leí que esta semana el reto era de robots, y me animé. Escogí esta especie de cyborg y empecé a experimentar con las sombras, polvos y base de @avecesmike. Evidentemente no soy para nada experto, no soy maquillador, y la última vez que hice un invento de estos en mi rostro fue en 2014 con una mezcla de talco y vaselina LOL, así que todo esto que vas a ver fue lo más intuitivo que te puedes imaginar.
Before continuing, I want to confess my admiration for all the people who have the ability to do these things to their own faces. I didn't think it was that difficult and that it really took that long! I was underestimating it
Now yeah, let's go with what we came to. I read that this week the challenge was robots, and I was encouraged. I chose this kind of cyborg and started experimenting with @avecesmike's shadows, powders and foundation. Obviously I am not an expert at all, I am not a makeup artist, and the last time I made an invention of these on my face was in 2014 with a mixture of talcum powder and Vaseline LOL, so this you're gonna see was the most intuitive thing you can imagine.

Lo primero que hice fue lavar bien mi cara para quitar toda la grasa y sucio que pudiera tener.
Luego apliqué un corrector naranja sobre mis ojeras, y todas las marquitas que tenía, sobre todo las de la afeitadora (me había afeitado horas antes y me irritó un poquito), y lo difuminé suavemente con el dedo anular. Sobre el contorno apliqué un poquito de base del color de mi piel, que después sellé con polvo suelto.
The first thing I did was wash my face well to remove all the grease and dirt that it might have.
Then I applied an orange concealer on my eyebags, and all the marks that I had, especially those of the razor (I had shaved hours before and it irritated me a little), and I smudged it gently with my ring finger. On the contour, I applied a little base of the color of my skin, then I sealed it with loose powder.
Ya llegaba la hora de empezar a dibujar las cosas robóticas en mi cara. Empecé haciendo el contorno de la zona que iba a llenar luego de piezas metálicas, luces, engranajes, cables; esto lo hice con un crayón negro.
Cuando tenía ya esto listo, noté que las paletas Morphe que usé no tenían color gris, entonces comencé a rellenar todo este contorno con sombra negra. A mitad de camino, por supuesto que se me ocurrió que debería “borrarme” la ceja, entonces tuve que cubrirla un par de veces con pegamento de barrita y peinarlas hacia arriba.
It was time to start drawing the robotic things on my face. I started by making the outline of the area that I was going to fill after with metal parts, lights, gears, cables; I did this with a black crayon.
When I had this ready, I noticed that the Morphe palettes that I used has no gray shade, so I began to fill all this outline with black shadow. Halfway through, I thought that I should "erase" my brow, so I had to cover it a couple of times with glue stick and comb them up.
Me encantó la idea de tener una sonrisa enorme y “humana” en un entorno robótico, oculta debajo de mi piel. Entonces la dibujé con crayón negro, y así mismo, dibujé todos los ensamblajes que se me ocurrieron dentro de mi contorno.
I loved the idea of having a huge, "human" smile in a robotic environment, hidden under my skin. So I drew it with a black crayon, and likewise, I drew all the assemblies that I imagined within the outline.
Lo siguiente fue darle toques de luz a la base negra que había hecho con una brocha pequeña y una sombra blanca. Llené cada parte que hice con esa sombra blanca y rellené con el crayón si era necesario. El borde del contorno lo sombré con crayón negro también y lo difuminé con el dedo anular.
Las zonas que quería que tuvieran un destello que se destacara más, las llené con un corrector blanco y un pincel muy fino.
Quise simular lucecitas de neon incrustadas entre algunas partes. Estas las hice con un pincel muy fino y pintura al frío amarillo, y sobre ella agregué sombra amarilla. Igualmente hice un highlighting sobre este look metálico de mi cara con sombra plateada también.
The next thing was to give highlights to the black base that I had made with a small brush and a white shadow. I filled in every part I did with that white shadow and went over with black crayon if was necessary. The edge of the contour was shaded with black crayon as well and blurred with the ring finger.
The areas that I wanted to have a more prominent highlight, I filled in with a white concealer and a very fine brush.
I wanted to simulate neon lights embedded between some parts. I made these with a very fine brush and cold yellow paint, and on it I added yellow shadow. I also did a highlighting on this metallic look of my face with silver shadow as well.
El ojo lo cubrí con sombra negra por completo, y delineé dentro de la línea de agua con crayón negro, puesto que el ojo tenía que ser lo más profundo y misterioso. Esta era la mitad no-humana de mi look, ¡Así que tenía que ser bieeeeen intenso! ¡Jajajaj!
Ya en este punto me sentía a gusto con el maquillaje, pero sentía que tenía que darle un poco de color. Agregué unos toquecitos fucsias en la frente, pómulos y barbilla.
I covered the eye with black shadow completely, and I delineated within the water line with black crayon, since the eye had to be the deepest and most mysterious. This was the non-human half of my look, so it had to be sooooo intense! Hahaha!
At this point I was comfortable with makeup, but felt like I needed to add a bit of color. I added some fuchsia dabs on the forehead, cheeks, and chin.
Para terminar mi lado humano, sólo llené un poquito mi ceja con sombra marrón y negra, y alrededor de la línea del contorno negro, sombreé con sombra rosa ¡Estamos ready! :D Así quedó:
To finish my human side, I just filled my eyebrow a little with brown and black shadow, and around the black contour line, I shaded with pink shadow. We are ready! :D So it was:

Espero que les haya gustado mi primer maquillaje tanto como a mi. Esto fue realmente un experimento para mi, y terminó cambiando mi manera de ver el maquillaje
