what do you mean by brain candy? :D I'm not native in English so I not always catch all that slang.
Eye candy is when you see a pretty girl walking down the street. You can enjoy the view, but when she's gone, she's gone. There is nothing permanent or lasting.
I have thrown a mix into the slang and instead of "eye candy", I used "brain candy". What I mean that your post is intellectually interesting, fun to read those maps and statistics, but that is all that one can get out if it. When I'm off to the next post, it is ... well ... gone.
I do not mean this in any kind of disrespectful way. Please do not take it as such.
