That's a very beautiful shrine. It amazes me that it has lasted 234 years, especially that the paper models have survived that long. I hate to say that, despite the beauty of the shrine, what interested me more were the old houses with the giant trees and creepers totally invading all the space inside. I imagine that's what all the earth will look like when man is gone.

This old shrine had been renovated at least twice over the years. The last time was a major renovations. The solid wooden beams and wooden frames are very strong. They could never find a replacement for such long logs and planks of hard wood nowadays.
I would love to get inside those houses which had been overrun by trees and creepers. Yup! One day, Nature will take back everything.
