3 secrets that smart online workers share - and an extra new secret from me!

“You don’t have to work much, work smart,” is a well-known statement that often falls here in the house.
Years ago, the communication drive very impressed me that some people show, which made it seem like they work 24/24 and hardly have a private life.

That rhythm seemed unlivable to me if you have a family, children, fascinating hobbies or other passions.
In the meantime, I have learned that thanks to the Internet there are a lot of possibilities to really work ‘smartly’. By using the right tools and tricks, you can really save a lot of time.

You can spend that time on a new project, in a house you are renovating, on exercising again or more, more time for your family ...

Those who really organize themselves will even be able to travel for longer periods of time without suffering a loss of income.

For those who have not been actively involved in marketing until now, it may seem like there is a secret world you cannot access. To some extent, some “tricks of the trade” are only shared in good programs and courses (the reason I joined two new programs this summer!).

Below you get 3 secrets from me that smart online workers' share.

Secret 1: Ensure that the administration of your newsletter readers and e-mail contacts is automated. You do this by a good, preferably online list manager. That is software you put on your computer but better used online to register new subscriptions and unsubscribe from newsletter subscribers, send mailings to certain groups, send newsletters, ...

I remember the hours and days I have all this wanted to do it manually (hah aha!) and wanted to manage in Outlook (sigh-frustration-slow!) Does not work.

Secret 2: Work if you like and then prepare in advance what can later run itself. For example, every Friday I make my own Tips & Tricks. I will prepare that in advance so that the shipment can be made automatically on Sunday, with no additional actions from me. Well, on Sunday afternoons I prefer to spend time with the family than lonely behind my laptop ...

You can also extend this automatism to courses, webinars, ... If you are smart, you also look for connections between different parts of your system of working. Then, for example, you will establish a link between your mailing system and your webinar provide, or between your mailing list, ...

There are a few more snags, so that requires some time and testing, and often good advice. Usually something for ‘advanced’. Once it’s up to date, it makes your work much easier!

Secret 3: Make sure you search as much as possible for things you make or do once and that are then ‘scalable’ as we call it so beautifully in the jargon. That means you can make them available to different people at the same time.

An E-book is a good example of that (but I advise against this for other reasons. Another example is a webinar in which you can share your knowledge with several people at the same time.

I’d love to meet you online!

Very useful post. Thanks!

I find scheduling slightly difficult especially writing something in advance. So, that's something I need to work on these days. Hoping I'd get more time to do it.
