Topic : polygamy marriage
Let me start by defining what polygamy is all about, polygamy is the marriage between a man and more than one wife, it is also a marriage between a woman and more than one husband.
Polygamy does not only happen with the men, the women are Aldo involved, a situation whereby a woman has so many husbands, it's also called polygamy marriage.
Polygamy marriage is common among the hausas in the northern part of Nigeria, other tribes practice this, but it's mostly found among the hausas.
These practice has lots of effects, it is said that " if you want to live longer, marry a good wife " meaning if as a man if you wan to live longer on earth, you have to marry a good wife not wives.
Effects of polygamy marriage
- Where two women of different lifestyle, wants, desires, dos and don'ts , religious beliefs etc, do not agree together or share one husband, trouble and problems are bound to happen, quareling and fighting would be the order of the day
- There would be soo many children in the house, to pay their fees can be a challenge, that's why we have soo many children hawking on the streets today for means of survival, I ask parents today, why do u bring these children into the world if you wouldn't fend for them?
- Polygamy can lead to untimely death. A situation whereby the man is always thinking of the family, how he would solve the disputes between his wives, how he would pay his rent and children's fees etc. All these things can lead him to his untimely death leaving the wives and his children in total disarray!
Children from these type of family will agree with me, cause the themselves are witnesses to these.

Nice post, but still as badt as polygamy maybe i still believe it stil has its own advantages too,.especially when it involves having kids and some other situations that leads people to get involved in it.
